but got nothing but disappointment when you got this

i think i saw the same thread, and in that thread, someone showed a way to make it looks good.
put it in a dim room and partially light it up with torches and glowing crystals, iirc1 -

✭You need to find a great bright light sources and play with these for best results.
The furnishing you get is a raw model, it's you who make it to look really awesome.
I recommend Daedric Brazier, gives very bright light around.

✭I also was disappointed at the mound of gold but it didn't stop me making what i wanted - albeit i spent maybe 1.5 million gold on the smaller loot piles because they were made right:
This was one of the main reasons i found housing very disappointing - i used maybe 400 small loot piles to create this effect which i really liked, out of my ~700 cap. Still don't understand why such a small cap was placed on an instanced area.
I imagined this to be the manor and loot i took off the weak Daggerfall Covenant in PvP

✭✭✭✭✭Yes, I agree they look rather disappointing considering how hard it is to get them. I recently finished my treasure vault and used the pile of coins which just requires you to pay 100k to either a fence or a guard to clear your bounty.
With a bunch of other stuff I created my very own "mountain of loot" which looks a lot better in my opinion.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.2
