Actually, want to find skeleton key?? Just saying it would be cool if a skeleton key was like a super rare find in treasure chests or awarded for opening like 10,000 chests or something..

you mean like the key that can open any set or what?

you do not need a skeleton key for that, all you need are a bunch of lockpicks and "force lock"

Well, not only does it go with lore but for some with thousands of lock picks in their inventory it would be nice to sell them or give them away to make room. Mainly though I think it would be a great idea for us master thieves

Give us something worth really stealing for!!

The Skeleton Key wouldn't be much of a bonus for a lot of players. I'm only level 23 and I have around 700 lockpicks already. And since you can carry around at least 200 without any extra storage space used up, you've essentially got a lockpick that can be broken 200 times - by which time you'll have acquired even more lockpicks.

However, if there was a Skeleton Key that was awarded after achieving something (i.e. unlocking so many chests/doors etc) then maybe it could serve a different purpose:

- Upon unlocking the Skeleton Key, you have a very small chance to find a Skeleton Chest (or whatever) instead of the usual chest. Inside the Skeleton Chest is a plethora of cool items like motifs, style materials etc.

4 Points in Force Lock and the unlimited supply of lock picks kind of serves that purpose.

Even breaking 1 to 4 lock picks on each chest, I am still destroying 100 stacks of lock picks frequently.

Seeing as Nocturnal is a major player in the Clockwork DLC, based on what I saw in the PTS quest and motif/set previews

I'll be honest. It would make (somewhat) more sense if lockpicks were semi-rare, but were an indestructible resource. So either you had a pick and could work on locks, or you didn't. Of course, I think the same thing is true of stuff like the pickaxe, shovel and wood axe. So they'd have their own one use equip slots.

To be fair, if you went this route, you could also have upgraded versions.

maybe you could only do the skeleton key while polymorphed into the skeleton from shadowfen?
