Master Writ using Perfect Roe

So, I feel like a total idiot using 2 perfect roe to make ambrosia for only 10 writ vouchers. It should be like 40 or 50. You know how long you have to fish
to get a perfect roe? AND I've fished for 2 hours without getting even one. Reassess the reward on that voucher.

Yes, I expect Perfect Roe is not cheap on any of the servers being it is one of the most rare crafting matts available. Not sure why Zos made the reward for writs using it so small.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom can you fine ladies help get this information to the correct members of your team? Thx.

Thankfully I love fishing but yeah that reward is a fricken joke. You know how many skill points, time fishing, rng sacrificing, and (if you aren't patient to collect the recipe scraps) money goes into making Ambrosia?? For 10 flipping vouchers. The amount of ambrosia you need to satisfy the writ is worth more than if you sold the writ!

The voucher rewards for Alchemy, Provisioning and Enchanting master writs are not really worth it. The rewards box for them are not that great either, so I don't currently do these daily writs. I get enough mats and ingredients from my hirelings that I don't have to worry.

You also have to question some of the other master writ rewards - you can still get a 40-50 voucher reward that requires 8 gold improvement tempers. Is it worth spending 40-50k on gold mats to get back 40-50 vouchers?

Perfect Roe, basically the most unusable and worthless gold ingredient based on time to gather not offsetting the benefit for what you can make from it.

The writs requiring Perfect Roe or Hakeijo have a pathetically low voucher value. That really should be looked at.

That's kinda not smart man. Even if the writs are bad, you can sell them for 1k to 1 voucher, and they sell within an hour of listing in guild store. Plus between those 3 writs a day you get another 2kish, and the ingredients in the boxes often outweigh what you put in.

Sure they aren't rewarding like the other 3 main crafting classes, but to outright not do them is just cutting yourself off from a revenue source that takes 1 minute tops to complete. 2k a day + chance for writs is always better than absolutely nothing at all.

The alchemy ones are usually incredibly worth it. Enchanting is worth it, if it's not asking for a Hakeijo. Provisioning... yeah, I don't think I've actually completed a single provisioning writ. On top of that, I'd argue the golden Pot Roast should probably have roe removed from its ingredients. It's just not good enough to justify that expense.

Agreed. I sell the writs requiring two perfect roe and practically have to give them away.

This sums up the main issue. The master writs that should have a nice fat payout for those two crafts are not worth it in any way to actually craft. With blacksmith/cloth/wood you can hit the jackpot with a huge payout of 100 - 300 if you get really lucky. There just isn't any equivalent for the 3 other crafts. It's an extra kick in the junk that the ones that do require rare mats and cost investment don't reward appropriately. Off the top of my head, I'd say to put Roe/Hakeijo in the 50 voucher range and perhaps try to add something similar in alchemy so there is a "big" master writ there as well.

You're still only talking chump change and when you are doing them on 8 or 9 characters, the time spent on them adds up. Besides, I don't do the crafting writs to get master writs, I do them for gold improvement items and other items I can sell - master writs are just a bonus.

I don't need to do provisioning dailies because I still have a bulging craft bag full of ingredients, over 100 kutas, 2 full Psijic Ambrosia recipes plus a pile of the pages that I cannot be bothered selling now that the prices have dropped.

I am swimming in master writs and vouchers so already sell any master writs I get under about 40 vouchers value and any big ones I get that I don't have the motif learned - this brought in somewhere between 150-200k last week alone.

Those should be worth 750-1000 vouchers. I’m being serious if it requires 2

To me the whole system is a sink of materials, time and currency. I was soooo excited until it went live. I think I’ve done less than 2 that had vouchers above 100 ever. I used to do a few every day on two characters.....

Especially considering 2 perfect roe is worth 21k, whereas you can buy 10 writ vouchers for 7-8k (PC NA)

Based on other current master writ returns, I would have thought about 50 vouchers myself.

If ZOS were serious about master writs, anything that requires 'gold' items, kuta, roe, tempers, rosins or wax, should be worth a lot more than what they are now - maybe 200 vouchers or more as a starting point. This would make them worth trying for and worth doing.

I know I am not going to buy a motif worth 30k+ and 8 tempers to do a master writ for 70 or 80 vouchers.

I have got multiple 40 vuchers rewards from enchanting. CP160-Kuta-Hajeko is worth 40 vouchers to me anyway. Alchemy perfect roe ones worth 10 is just dirt i scrap them as the comparable enchanting one is worth more. Additionally locking the enchanting one behind IC DLC is a dirt move, i know you can buy them, but should be able to make these yourself without being behind a paywall.

I think a lot of people would think twice about doing that writ for 40 vouchers - especially people who would have to buy the Hakeijo.

A lot of the crafting master writs are locked behind DLC's by requiring to be made in DLC sets - unless I only get them because I have access to them. If people without them are getting as many master writs needing DLC's as I do, there must be some peeved off people out there.
