It takes a total of about 30 minutes of enduring loading screens while switching between alt characters every time I log in (for hirelings, riding training, and DB supplier). It would be great to spend more playing, and less time managing everything.

Probably never. Just because one game has an app does not mean every game should. Many top MMOs do not.

Considering that people have asked for an Android/iOS app since just about the launch of the game, I would say there is no ETA. I just don't think ZOS sees it as a priority to work on.
- Update 23Ice Furnace: This item set now grants Spell Damage, rather than Weapon Damage for the 4 piece bonus

It's not click bait. Rich Lambert called it "the next logical step," when he brought it up 8 months ago.

Common sense tells me that if the creative director called it "the next logical step" in an interview that was published 8 months ago, then it's only a matter of time.

You dissected a portion of a direct quote from Rich Lambert . The full quote was "We have no plans for it but I think that's the next logical step."

They had no plans for "the next logical step" at the time of the quote, which was 8 months ago.
