Good point. So to make it fair, we need to add apes to the game then. They could attack us from the trees and have bananas as ranged attacks.

I think that would close the loop on this and reconcile the situation.

If you find that weird try reading into Bosmer culture, particularly the tenants of the Green Pact.

The short version is that not only do they regularly kill a whole variety of animals and people, including other bosmer, but they believe they are required to eat them afterwards.

More seriously what about the various kinds of humans? They are actually the same species, just different cultures. Shouldn't they have a psychic connection and refuse to fight each other?

For Argonians killing alligators, why not they are not related in any way and alligator tastes good.
Same for an Khajiit killing an lion outside of the tasting good part, now senche is another issue and I think the senche mobs is one of the weakest part of ESO game design as lore, senche is khajiit, yes you might have feral senche but having them together with khajiit bandits or other enemies would make far more sense than having them as general animal mobs around.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

two of my argonians never killed a gator. passed up on those quests for gator teeth and such and evaded when attacked on the fly.

I can sort of see Khajiit vs anonymous Senche as territorial challenge / tribal warfare. However, it could be handled better in the game -- something more constructive in the gameplay and lore rather than the current blind aggression.

In fact, why not offer limited interaction with some Senche in the field with a racial passive "persuade" effect, similar to the Mages' Guild's Persuasive Will or Fighters' Guild'd Intimidate abilities. Level up far enough in the Khajiit racial skill line, and gain a "Command Senche" ability that can give you the option of commanding or persuading Senche tigers to stand-down from attacking, or at higher levels, coerce them to fight alongside you temporarily like a combat pet against other nearby enemies/mobs. Create a similar racial synergy for Argonians, too. The result would add an extra dimension to group and guild play -- as these racial traits would be available by including Khajiit and/or Argonians in the party to gain the advantage of working with some of the wildlife. We already have a limited, automatic effect like this with the baby wasps that will temporarily tag along with you and sting other attackers.

Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    I don't understand.

Are all Bosmer, Orcs, Altmer, Redguard, Bretons, Dunmer, Imperials friendly with their own kind? I understand alligators may not be Argonians... But Senche are Khajiit, so are house cats, just born under different moons iirc.

Apes, actually. There is a difference there, just ask the librarian at the unseen university! ;)
But the general principle is right on the mark!
A lot of us have an aversion to killing animals, but you're going to do what you gotta do when a giant, murderous ape comes at you :)
    Exactly.
Many people throughout history loved dogs or cats, but still would kill a wild, hungry wolf or tiger if it came to eat their face...

    ...

What vexes me a little though is... why are wolves aggroing werewolves? Shouldn't they, I dunno, smell what that person is beneath the skin and give way to a bigger predator? Or bloodfiends and vampires... shouldn't all bloodfiends be neutral-yellow against vamps because of some undead cooperative sense or vampire mind control or something?

Who said vampires had to cooperate at all? Other vamps are competition, and the way I see it, bloodfiends are mindless masquerade breaches that kill the food supply en masse. I say stake 'em so the sheep remain docile :|

There will still be factions within the nonhumanoid Khajiit and argonians. It's not any different from killing humanoid npcs.

Also Argonians aren't really like Khajiit, most subspecies aren't in game except Lamia(I think). And they don't have different forms like Khajiit do.

Senches and house cats are not Khajiit. This senche matter was discussed when the mounts came out. The senche-khajiits are a different species from the wild senches. And housecats are housecats. The form that looks like a housecat but is a khajiit is different from normal non sentient cats. Sometimes you can't tell them apart but that's part of what makes them good spies.

If I remember correctly the explanation is that senche is basically the Ta'agra (khajiit language) word for a big cat. So it's applied both to the biggest khajiit furstocks and to conventional big cats. Just like some khajiit may be called tigers or jaguars because they have a similar fur pattern, but no one is suggesting they are actually a tiger or jaguar.

The khajiit senche are different to the mounts in-game though, importantly they're supposed to be the same height as an altmer, and the senche-raht are even bigger.

And yes there's also the Alfiq who look like housecats (although I think other khajiit are able to tell them apart?) but they're not. Importantly they can understand speech and cast spells.
