I chose it because I love the song so much.

I'm looking forward to it. A lot of the armor sets look nice (including the crafted ones).

I've been in this game for way too long to get hyped over anything. I actually play DLCs only a couple of months after release since I dislike overcrowded world boss locations, delves and public dungeons with everyone farming the new gear like crazy, selling it for astronomical sums over a few weeks, or upgrading it to gold then realising it's utter trash and deconning it shortly afterwards.

I have so much money and materials right now precisely because I don't get hyped. I sometimes see people in game selling gold gear from very weak overland sets, that won't ever sell for the price of the upgrade material, then people whining on the forums about how scarce and expensive those are (may well be some of the same). And of course they are if you mindlessly waste them before doing basic maths.

As for the base game patch, re-trait is a good feature. I also like the other changes that were long overdue. I don't think I'm good enough for the new group content. I will probably re-start vMoL and maybe start vHoF progression at some point in the future but right now I don't want to be stressed. Only started playing vet trials a short while ago.

I guess Indifferent will do... but you needed a simple "Don't like" option. I don't give a hoot about Dwemer, clockwork anything, so the vast majority of environments in the DLC won't be at all exciting for me to explore. I'm not interested in the two new houses, since one is the above and the other one is yet another Nord-themed location.

They're still doing absolutely nothing to enhance the gameplay I enjoy most of all, Cyrodiil PvP.

Wouldn't it be nice if Eso had a Trials Group finder, it would be a fair bit easier for those who actually know what they are doing to find a professional group suitable for the task to help others get those coveted skins, titles, etc. but even I know that won't happen anytime soon...

A trials group finder??? Are you insane? dungeons are hard enough with 3 people that don't know what they're doing. You want to increase that to 11?

Sorry, this should be the ONE thing that doesn't go to 11.

Totally ready for Clockwork City. I don't like having idle hands, or having too much time on them. I'm ready to get geared up and spring into action. I'm just killing time, counting the hours and minutes until the release day (whenever that is), and the little hand and big hand indicate it's time to boot up the game and install the new content. Will it be good, bad, boring, exciting? Only time will tell ; I won't waste one second grinding my gears, or getting all wound up over such things right now. We'll have plenty of time, post release, to argue such things back and forth like a pendulum.

    Totally offtopic, but...

Honestly, Divayth Fyr is yet another victim of ZoS writers, who... like... see no difference between justified self-assurance and ego of the size of the elephant.

    Vanus Galerion, anyone? :D

Why every powerful mage, who originally are understandably proud of themselves and their achievements but do not lack the understanding that they are not infallible, turn into cartoonish "YOHOHOHO I'M FABULOUS" in ESO is honestly beyond me :/

It is also beyond me how flawless Sotha Sil writing and the same mentioned above cringeworthy Divayth Fyr writing literally exist in parallel :/

Like, come on, guys, you obviously can. You can make a character with quiet, calm and moderated yet indisputable confidence. Please, give us more of this and less of... Vanus Galerion.

Imho which I needed to take out of my system, of course.

@cecibergesnrb18_ESO, okaaaaaaay... Prepare yourself for some crazyness :D

First, we need to adress some metalore here.

The world of TES is the Dream of the Godhead. Like... literally. Someone/something is dreaming whole TES, this is how universe exist.

    a) CHIM. Those who know about it, have two options: to get desperate or to defy. By saying "I am (I exist)" in the face of fact "You're nothing, just the part of the dream" the person achieve CHIM - they can reshape the dream, which in inner logic equals to changing reality.

There are exactly 2 people who achieved CHIM. Tiber Septim aka Talos (yep, that's how he became god) and... yeah. Vivec.

    b) Amaranth. Next step after CHIM. "CHIMing" allows you to become god within the dream, but you're still a part of it. Amaranth is becoming Godhead. Becoming the one who dreams the universe.

Amaranth exists like a concept, but was not achieved yet. Though there were attempts.

Now. 37th Sermon, which lies in Vivec's palace, mentions Amaranth and its being the ultimate goal. By ESO Morrowind events Vivec already achieved CHIM + it means that they actually are using those parts of Kirkbride's lore.

    Which brings us to:

    1) Vivec needing help makes no sense whatsoever.
He had the way out this whole time. CHIM cannot be taken away. Tiber Septim did not possess Lorkhan's powers, but that didn't stop him from changing reality. Vivec is "CHIMed", he has actual divinity which is always with him. So... wut?

There is a theory that using CHIM in ESO Morrowind events simply wasn't warranted. He knew you would succeed and CHIMming his way out was simply akin to nailing with microscope.

Okay. A sound theory. But let's not forget one tiny fact: when Baar Dau started falling, people got injured and died. We don't have a living god with limited power who was tricked and did his best. We have an actual god who chose to let events unfold on their own.

A little bit different story, isn't it?

    2) Vivec's personality.

    That's where things become personal.

Vivec actually regretted killing Nerevar. Sotha Sil himself confirms it in CwC, by the way. "We share regret". Vivec in Morrowind (original Morrowind) was much less radiant. Vivec in original Morrowind actually was about quiet regretful wisdom.

Sure, many years passed and many things happened which changed him. But... Vivec in ESO is 100% sunny. I honestly have problems with that. I would be okay with him being more sunny than in original Morrowind, it would be only natural. But the fact that he betrayed his friend and King and regretted it always and forever... It just isn't there. In ESO he is onedimensional lighthearted poet god.

This is not what he is. This is not what he ever was.

Phew. Okay. Sorry, that was long :D

WOW . Thanks for all the explanation, and wonderful post! Now you gave me a lot to process. I played TESIII a long ago and again recently and of course I love it and I thought I understood the majority of the lore, I stand corrected.

(So Vivec achieved CHIM but the Daedra Princes didn't? Doesn't that make Vivec "a better god"? And there I was yelling "Death to the False Gods " When I killed Vived, did he just want to die? :'( )

@cecibergesnrb18_ESO, Daedra and Aedra are... a bit difficult. Truth is, they are aware of the Dream fact. And then there are, to my knowledge, several theories.

    1) They made themselves into individual beings. CHIM requires the acceptance of the Dream fact. These two facts contradict each other: they have willed their individuality, so accepting the Dream fact is impossible for them (it pretty much makes "willing individuality" void), hence - no actual CHIM.

    2) They do not exactly understand what being part of the Dream is. They know it, but do not fully understand, hence, no actual CHIM.

CHIM doesn't apply to Daedra and Aedra, but not because of "simple reasons" it doesn't apply to mortals. Things become really difficult here, I'm not above admitting it :) I'm not actually truly lore-expert, I know some stuff :)

As to Vivec... Even if you kill him, you don't kill him ;) There are still rumors about him in Skyrim, whether you killed him as Nerevarine or not makes no difference. And that may be not due to laziness of developers, but due to the fact... that "true god" can't be killed completely. Nerevarine may destroy the body, but... Does it really mean that Vivec cease to exist? ;)
