can we have a locked dye preview already?

We are getting the ability to preview crown store items we can't normally wear on our characters but yet this feature has been neglected since the dye system has been out like 2 years ago

I have enough dyes unlocked that this doesn't bother me but I think it would be appreciated by newer players.

It would also help to show off what the game has to offer style-wise. Dyes make all the difference. You can make even the lowest tier clothes and armour look awesome with great dyes.

You want new players to see what's possible in that department and feel like they have something to aim for.

I recently grinded the black market mogul achievement afraid my efforts was going to give me a bad dye... it was worth the effort but not all dyes are worth the effort as some dye horribly

I don't know if I have that one but I find that this varies across clothing / armour. With different materials, textures etc. a dye can look magnificent on one piece and unimpressive on another.

eg. I love the dominion light armour but with the light armour robe I find that the main legs section doesn't play well with lighter colours. It darkens them a bit so what is typically a nice, fresh white looks dirty on this piece in that section. The exact same white looks great on other sections of this armour and other armours.

Yes, please. 2 reasons:

1) This will entice players to subscribe, if allowed to preview when not subscribed. That's a win-win for ZOS.

2) This will entice players to run content, at least once, for a dye and maybe find out they enjoy it.
I definitely have been avoiding running content until I know if I will like the reward. I also tend to focus on certain content first because of the reward, especially dyes that I think will look how I want based on the name or online research. Mostly though, I have been just working on easier to get and solo dyes because no preview doesn't make it easy to say "OOH! I must have that dye!" and do content I wouldn't normally for it. That is especially true of the pvp rewards dyes.

We already sort of have this with the crown store item previews in the dye tab, but it would be great to add this functionality to the dye station or the achievement menu or the collections menu, perhaps along with previews of costumes and polymorphs and skins we haven't yet obtained.
