Stam sorc and magsorc have the best tools for VMA.

Stam templar was very easy to vma with last patch. Although the major mending nerf is quite noticable on certain rounds I didn't have too many issues with it after the patch.

So a large amount of those players just figured why not run through it with sorc since its easiest class?

Vma needs to be more forgiving for stam characters. You can make plenty of mistakes on a magicka characters but shields can save you. Stam characters just dont got that.

Sorc may still be top dps but something has to be. They arent as powerful in pvp as they used to be since many sorcs had to sacrifice damage for sustain plus crystal frag got 10% nerf.

So i wouldnt say sorc was never nerfed

Actually sorc lost top spot in dps. But they still have range/aoe, and that counts for a lot. Overall dps though they lost. I'm not complaining so muv as highlighting a very, very, very big gap. Last patch templar bottom score was always about 400k. Sorcs always 500k+ just due to the number of sorcs doing vma. But everynother single roster didn't make it past 30 participants with a score of 415. Sorc had some dps nerfs but no serious tooklit nerfs like the other classes.

Zos stated these 'toolkit nerfs' were for balancing. again, sorc did get a dps nerf, but this isn't about nerfing or dps. It's about cause and effect. Maybe they went a bit overboard with class changes.

PC-NA for the week:

Sorc - 100 on leaderboard - lowest score 518k
NB - 100 on leaderboard - lowest score - 454k
DK - 70 on the leaderboard - 49 400k+
Temp - 64 on the leaderboard - 54 400k+
Warden - 31 on the leaderboard - 16 400k+

My opinion isn't that sorcs, and to a lesser extent NB's, are over performing. It is that the bottom 3 don't have to tools to thrive in that environment. Sorcs and NB's should not be nerfed. Gutting classes to pull them down to the rest is lazy and stupid. If any changes are to be made it is the bottom 3 should be tweaked to help them be more competitive.

Overperforming doesn't exactly mean they need a nerf. On the utility scale and class management they are definitely overperforming. I'd rather see dk and templar get some utility back than see other classes get a nerf. Enough with the damn nerfs.

In the light of the last "balances", I don't consider that easily just as saracasm. It might be the most probable option. vMA is a poor check for class balance. The best check is still the raid environment of trial groups, especially progress trial groups.

The attractivity of vMA has decreased a lot even for me and my magblade, because of the sustain nerfs. I was permapotting there already before and vMA still has the most annoying RNG in this game, so I just do my builds now without ever calculating to get a staff from there. Simple as that.

Basically when i read balance on here i know Nerf sorc is going to follow. It's band wagon stuff.

Highest console score is still on StamBlade, so easily forgotten..

Personally id just jump on another class, get a clear and hit the leader board if i were you. Good time to push

Thst is a plus. A complete is a guaranteed weekly reward. I'm realllllly bad at vma with mag classes but it's an excuse for ,e to dust off my other stam classes. I normally do it on stam templar and it's easy as hell.

why are you surprised hah? Sorcorers are basicly glass cannons, they should be strong no matter what. If you want to qq about BALANCING things ask Zos about Dragon Knights. thank you.

He isn't talking about a nerf is he? He clearly mentions that the bottom 3 should be tweaked.
