Undaunted/Fighters and Mage Guild Leveling

This question maybe more towards pvp'ers because a lot of us just grind out a char as fast as we can to hop back into PvP. But I'll take any suggestions.

So I made a Stam Warden, only did quests in the first zone, then just went to a pub dungeon and grinded him to 50(Cp 160). After I finished him, I totally forgot about what had stopped me from making more chars in the past, Undaunted, Fighters and Mage Guild. This tedious grinding crap just for a skill line is dumb. If your on console, Skyshard collecting and if you need Mages guild, it's a pain. I wish those 3 skills were in Crown store for people who don't see this as fun as we just want to play.

So now I'm stuck as a DPS who has sat in que's for over an hour with nothing. My Fighters Guild is at level 5 so I can't get Dawnbreaker and no Undaunted Passive. So for DPS PvP'ers what do you guys do to get those up fast?

I'm considering taking my Redguard Stam Warden, reset attributes to Magic, take my heal set off my Templar and go heal normal and vet undaunted for a few weeks lol. This char hasn't done 1 single dungeon quest. Anyone else use this method?

Yeah Imp City is prob where I'll do the fighters guild stuff. But getting the Undaunted Passive, Mette one is going to be the hard one which is why I was thinking about switching to healer on him for a bit lol.

I usually grind the public dungeon in Cold Harbour so that when I get to level 50 my FG is already done.

If your going to waste your time grinding a character to L50, then at least grind them in a place that levels Fighters. So, Dolmens, or a Deadra infested public dugeon.

The reason it is a waste of time to grind a character to L50 is you only have 64 skills points, so you basically have a useless character. You need to have 110 to 150 skill points to have a viable single weapon combat character.

Far better to level a character chasing skyhards and Lore Books as you get everything leveled at the same time.

Let me give you an example of what I did with my last two leveling characters.

    1. I collected all the Skyshards in the zone. I avoided any and all quests other than those that show up in the delves that have skyshards. These quests do not give set items for rewards so no loss there.
    2. I would farm the dolmens a few times to get set jewelry that helped my character
    3. I would do the Public Dungeons including all the bosses
    4. Then I would move to the next zone.

In doing this, I could fully gear up my character with level appropriate stuff, and it was helpful gear. May not have been the best, but you don't need the best while leveling. Any gear I farmed from Dolmens or PD's is repeatable, so I can get it at CP160 by just repeating. Then, I had all the content quests left for me once I reached CP160 as those can give you sweet Set Drops in good traits you want. And, Quest Experience is huge for gaining CPs once your past CP160. Kind of a waste before that.

In about 8 zones, I would be fully leveled in Mages, Fighters, Class, 3 Armors and Weapon Skills. Leaving only Undaunted to level, although I would get to almost 3 in that from Dungeon Achievements.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Skyreach counts as a dungeon

Killin the Skeles adds to the fighters guild and counts for undaunted achievements

Doin the skyreach grind will do your character and fighters and undaunted (kill 1,000 enemies, deal 1,000,000 DMG, heal etc)

So I do that, do normal Dungeons solo (get undaunted points for first complete and normal is super easy)

You'll reach undaunted level 4 before you even hit veteran Dungeons (which then super speeds you along)

So you'll max out fighters before lvl 50, lvl 4 undaunted doing that.

Then I just open a website and run around getting shards and books.

I max a character in about a week with semi dedicated grinding

Oh I collect all skyshards from all 3 factions and other places. I have all of DC collected on this new char. But you are right, I should have grinded in a dungeon that gave me fighters guild. I forgot about that comletely. My past 2 chars I leveled I did questions and Cadwells so FG was already or very close to 10.

As a DPS it takes so long for dungeon ques, if your queing for specific dungeons so I can finish all the quests, that's why I'm considering switching this char to heals for a week or 2 so I can bang out all the normal dungeons quickly.

If I want to increase Undaunted on a new char I craft/put up a basic tanking set and go tank in easy dungeons to get as many achievements as possible.

Just don't do the hardest ones, it's really difficult to find a wothy pug and a waste of time for other people if they expect you to do your job properly.
