Allow crown-store-only motifs to be learned by other characters on account.

Please allow purchased Crown-Store-only motifs (Grim Harlequin and Stalhrim Frostcaster) to be learned by other characters on the account. I have purchased each of these when they were available but I have since moved on to other characters that are more of my primary. These were valued in the range of some mounts (2000-2200) and seems unfortunate that they can only be used by a single character. Maybe if it has been purchased then a 0 crown item could appear in the Crown Store? It would really be appreciated. Thank you.

Definitely agree with this. They're account-bound, limited-time items. If they don't count toward master writ chances, there shouldn't be anything wrong with letting us have it on multiple characters.
We don't need the extra mimic stones from it--just the book. Or maybe make it so the books don't get consumed. Or even just a discount for just the motif--since it's probably about money.

I agree! I own the Stahlrim Frostcaster motif on one char but have also moved onto a new main and every time I want or need to craft something I have to switch to that char. I want my new char to be my crafter too but since he doesn't have access to the crown store motif that I paid for I just don't bother and I don't bother buying new motifs either (although, at 5000-6000 crowns for some motifs I won't buy those period!). These are paid with real money, it should be an account-bound item like mounts, pets, costumes, etc....

Crowns are account-wide, and so should be everything you purchase with them, except food, drinks and potions.

All motifs, traits, patterns, and recipes should have been account wide since the beginning tbh.

Agreed. At THAT price, they really should be available for ALL characters. Say... like an unlock that allows people to draw a zero-value account-bound crafting book from the crown store for as often as they like, for each character they make?

Nah, stop with the "gimme" arguments.
Those motivs, patterns, recipes you game for should be character-bound. Traits you research should-definitely- be character bound, since otherwise research coordination would be iffy.

Only the stuff you pay -loads- of crowns for (Motiv for 5000 crowns?) really ought to be good for more then one character...

So your saying that someone will go out of there way to learn things 14 times, and spend 1 billion+ gold just for nothing? Also could say the same for crown stuff as well people could claim it as P2W cause you didn't earn it in game

I am saying, noone -needs- to!!!
One crafting character to group all the motivs on and do all the research on is all everyone really needs, with the shared bank, everyone can let their own crafting alt do ALL the crafting for each of their other characters and whatever else needs crafting.

And if someone chooses to learn crafting on their alts as well... that's their own business. And should be treated as their hobby. They can do it if they want, or not as they choose

I have characters who learn a lot of crafting, and characters who neglect most entirely, for fluff reasons usually.

But you are saying, a character should know how to craft one motiv or trait just because their father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate knows that motiv as well... because that's pretty much what different characters on one account are to each other.

ESO already has more account wide stuff then most MMORPGs with the champion system... I always feel a litle vexed when some lazy people ask for yet more, and then probably complain that the game has nothing left to game for when they'd actualyl get it I wager...

I don't consider learning all recipes, all motifs, and over 1200 patterns that lazy tbh.
