Main quest must be skipable. Already done it with one of my character, and there is absolutely no challenge in this quest(i am 600cp). Now need to do it again with another character to make a new build, which required Soul Assault ulti.. so dumby i am now skipping one of story scene while typing this text, already seen it why have i do it again to get that beautiful ulti....

✭✭✭✭✭MQ is skippable, you don't have to do it. Now, if you need that one certain skill for your build, well, then your going to have to do the MQ. Just like if you want that certain gear set you have to run that certain content.
And, I have done it on 6 out of 14 characters, so you can handle doing it on your 2nd.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Oh the scent of entitlement is strong with this one (He can't even finish a post). Anything in the game can be skipped, but if you need an ability from a certain skill line, guess what...You gotta do the content.
I want to be able to have a maxed mount on all my characters...You don't see me complaining on the forums that it takes 6 MONTHS (plus gold) to fully train a mount. I just do it...on all my characters.Edited by PlagueSD on October 4, 2017 10:04PM8 -

✭✭It goes by very fast after One Tamriel. Before then you only got the next quest every 5th level. You can do the whole questline in one go now.PS5 EU.2 -

You can now literally run through the whole main quest at once and even kill Molag Bal without ever doing anything else.
You don't even have to join the Fighters or Mages guild, none of their quests are required anymore, and that includes all of the fighters guild rescue quests in Coldharbour which can now be skipped.
I'm not sure how much easier ZOS can make this ...

✭✭✭✭✭Considering the large number of skill points available from that line there is zero reason for it to be skipable.
And it's no different that leveling mage guild/fighters guild and undaunted. Play through. It goes fast. No biggie.

Listen to Abnur Tharn's snarky dialogue and admire the Imperial Battlemage's flawless light attacking technique
Laugh at Mannimarco's hilarious attempt to overcompensate for something
Watch as Lyris Titanborn, greatest soldier of the empire, fails to tank, block, or kill anything without your help
Rescue Sai Sahan from the eternal torture of hearing "WHERE IS THE AMULET OF KINGS!!!!" blasted in his (and your) ears for eternity
Oh, and defeat Molag Bal after Akatosh makes you the most OP Vestige to be OP. All for the low, low price ofthe soul of your most annoying companion

The only thing about it I find really annoying if having to walk theough the "prophets memories" part of it with every new character... but I guess that at least is quickly done. All the other visits to coldharbour and such... are a good source for crafting stuff! Sometimes I even find a furniture pattern!1 -

Don't even need to do the faction story. ✭✭✭✭✭I've done the main quest fully on (I think) 6 characters now, and partially on several more.
The thought of having to do it again makes me want to stab myself in the eyeballs, even though the quest-line is really amazing and wonderful the first time you do it. (And the 2nd time, as well.)
Think of all the skill points you'll get if you do it again, though.
I guess later if you get desperate for skill points, you can always go back to it.0 -
Chronicburn✭✭✭✭Repeating main quest isn't hard on alts (obviously) ... however it does take SOME time and it is PRETTY boring the second, third etc time through. I think the OP has a valid point, although it's not a huge deal it kinda sucks.
I'd rather have mage guild unlocked after you get all those *#*%*# books on one toon... THAT is a pain in the a$$1 -

✭✭Main quest only done on about 4 of 12 characters - others do not need to do it. The best I did on my last character was to leave the whole thing until I was level 50 and just do all main quests in the one session.Australian on PS4 NA server.
