The question I realize when I try to build hybrid: What exactly make stam abilities unique?

So I was trying to make a hybrid build......and then when I fell satisfied I went for vma...and died and died and died.

And while I do recogniz my control, rotation and ping as part of the problems, the hybrid build just doesn't fell smooth enough compare to other builds.

And I know ppl say "hybrid is just for fun blablabla", but a question raises when I am trying to build hybrid....what makes stam abilities unique? What exactly can stam build do while mag build can't?

I'm templar so I will go from my perspective:
Heal? covered. (probably even better)
Gap closer? coverd
finisher? covered
AOE? covered (probably better)
Support? covered (again probably better)
Single-target damage? This is the part I'm not focus on but again mag build can do good job at that too

Soooooo....what special things can stam build do exactly??

Stamina Builds can have potentially the highest DPS. Now, this not to say that Stamina is going to blow Magic out of the water. You can build either a Stamina or Magic character that will be able to successfully complete any content in the game. Competitive Leaderboard times for Trials, certain PvP, Stamina can tend to have the edge there.

Thing is the balance tends to shift back and forth and if your chasing the pinnacle of performance, your going to be facing a moving target. I think the trend is towards Magic lately, but I don't worry about being at 100% of the max. 95%, 98% is close enough for me, and saves me from re-gearing with every balance patch.

Hybrids, since the removal of Soft Caps are just about useless for anything that needs high levels of performance. Fortunately, or unfortunately, most PvE content, it can be made to work just fine as that content just needs competent levels of performance. Vet Dungeons and Trials being the exception.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Stamina builds is mostly based on weapon abilities, magic uses class and staffs.
Game has ended this way by random effects, the same way 4 level 12 players who is new to game is stuffed into ICP,
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

As a Templar myself, the only benefit I can see is to be able to break free, dodge or block more effectively.

Which is huge in the right situations. Particularly PVP, though I realize you are talking about PVE primarily. Or for certain rounds in VMA where dodging can be really useful.

I never liked playing templars, so I can't add anything to the stamplar discussion. But I love my stamsorcs, so if we're going to talking about unique things stam builds can do...

My MagSorc is the red-headed Altmer stepchild of my characters. I want to like her, I really do. She's even pretty effective, all things said and done. But she aoes, she shields, she commands her pets, she heavy attacks...she's boring. She's also very one note and that note is lightning. With a more complicated rotation, I could even bring in fire. Woot.

My StamSorcs? They level like a breeze as soon as I get hurricane and flurry. At max CP, mobs melt in their AOE even before I go at them with bow and dual wield. My stamina builds have a great integration of weapon skills and class skills plus the ability to roll dodge, break free, block, and interrupt when needed. They are endlessly versatile, able to be effective with bow, dual wield, two-handed, and sword & board. I can DPS or Tank, and even pop a Vigor or two when my group needs that extra touch of healing. I have two stam sorcs. One is a DW/Bow DPS and the other is a DW/S&B DPS/Tank. Both play differently but very effectively, and crucially for me, both are very fun to play.

Ultimately, I think it comes down to what you prefer. If you don't like how the hybrid or stamina builds play, then no amount of uniqueness is going to help if you aren't having fun. I can attest to that since no amount of "but its the best healer in the game" (this was pre-Morrowind) was enough to make me enjoy playing my Mag Templar.

Stamina has more DPS potential at the moment but that is just a meta thing that changes. What really makes Stamina strong is that they are more self sufficient. Stamina does not loose effectiveness by not being supported while having everything running of one resource (stamina) and therefore being able to trade damage for movement and have a strong defence that does not take up skill slots. On a first look survivability on stamina can appear weaker then on magicka but in fact stamina has a lot of tools to fight under pressure and stay offensive where magicka can be forced to turtle up and loose damage.
