There is a bug in the game that keeps breaking nightblade cloak. Who would have thought, huh?
The bug occurs when you are using the sheer venom set and cast poison injection on a DK with volatile armor. Somehow the damage is returned to you, which causes it to break cloak and make it a nightmare for me to fight DK's. So, what I think is wrong is that the poison dot from sheer venom is being registered by volatile armor as melee damage. This should not happen.
I have heard the same thing happened with the dot from the vicecannon set. Remember I am not talking about crouching, but about the fact that volatile armors damage return is breaking cloak when it clearly shouldn't.
Can we please fix this bug? I'm tired of getting exposed by DK's.

✭I have always used volatile armor to take nb out of cloak. Three years and running.Sorcerna, proud beta sorc. RIP April 2014 to May 31 2016 DArk Brotherhood. Out of retirement for negates and encases. Sorcerna will be going back into retirement to be my main crafter Fall 2018. Because an 8 k shield is f ing useless. Died because of baddies on the forum. Too much qq too little pew pew. 16 AD 2 DC. 0 EP cause they bad, CP 2300 plus 18 level 50 toons. NA, PC, Grey Host#SORCLIVESMATTER actually they don’t or they wouldn’t keep getting nerfed constantly.1 -

Thank you for clarifying. The sheer venom dot is neither melee damage nor magic damage, so it shouldn't break cloak.

✭F that.. keep Volatile Armor as it. I hate getting hit by poison by you NBs in cloak. You *** with your Reaper's Mark breaking down resistance and hitting with poison injection from cloak, and whatever other stam reducing trickery up your sleeves. Go DK!
Ok, empathy.. yeah, I have a StamBlade too and feels good striking poison from a distance. Although, I really don't use cloak; that's just a wussy way of fighting! I'll go head to head on a DK with my StamBlade and took a many out when PvPed. Well, I got my arse handed to me as well. Life of PvPing! However, yeah, getting hit with your own poison is messed up. I only know that Reflexive Scale can do that and not really Volatile Armor.3 -

✭✭@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert Any chance this issue will be fixed anytime in the near future? Us nightblades are sick of being revealed by DK's. Getting defeated by an opponent you know wouldn't beat you had cloak been working as intended, is a really bad experience.
Either the sheer venom dot legitimately counts as a melee attack, or volatile armor is bugged and registers sheer venom as a melee attack.Edited by Koensol on October 3, 2017 3:56PM0 -

Thank you for taking the time to record this video and post it in this thread! Let's hope we can soon finally see a fix to this bug which has existed for eternity. I know they can fix bugs quickly, as we have seen many times before. I don't know why this keeps getting ignored when it is effectively ruining a lot of builds in pvp.... @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert0 -

I agree. I use sheer venom all the time and so annoyed by this.... Also.. I wonder if the game in general is registering sheer venom as melee damage.... I need to throw viper on and test something... LolEdited by lazerlaz on February 17, 2018 1:34AM0
