A basic sense of fashion need be universal.
It's a werewolf not a beauty queen or a shopping mall diva.
This polymorph looks awesome.
The whole polymoprh is horrendus...not to mention extremely lorebreaking
@notimetocare "horrendus" is opinion.
How is it lore breaking?
Because it does not exist. Never has, and never logically can
But why?
Your argument has no basis behind it, especially considering the fact that the lore masters that work for Bethesda and ZOS can basically make whatever they want official lore pretty easily if it doesn't break something that is already canon.
This does break canon based on the fact Hircine it the father of manbeasts not slightly beastly men. There is no logic to a creature that isnt primarily beast form
If we're just going to go off of personal interpretation, this polymorph looks plenty man-beastly to me.
It's been stated a few times in various interviews and ESO Live shows that the lore is taken very seriously. They have someone who works full time at ZOS whose entire job is to know the lore, and he will stop something if it doesn't work within the canon. If there is no supporting fact within the canon, and nothing opposing it, he's been able to create it. I even remember once where it was mentioned they had to go back to people at the sister studio who made older TES games and ask about certain things.
You keep saying it's not logical but you wont say why. How is this absolutely not possible in the universe of Elder Scrolls? We have all manner of magical man, mer, beast, divine beings, so on, so forth. The ability to travel between mortal and godly/other wordly planes of existence. NPC characters can cast teleportation spells. A cat can disguise himself as an AD queen, etc., etc., blah blah, but there is no room for someone to be caught in what looks like a semi-transformed state between original species and werebeast?
Nope, there isnt room for it. And i trust ZoS to take lore seriously as much as i trust them to balance the game.
LOL ok. Great basis for your claims.
Better than your 'i think its cool'
Already stated before why it doesn't fit into lore, being a broken record for slow learners is tedious
You say it's not logical, it doesn't exist and never will.
But the thing is, It can exist if the writers want it to. That is the beauty and charm of this IP. Just because TES 1-5 never mentioned them doesn't mean it can't happen. Much of the stuff in this particular game is derived from loose histories but was fleshed out by things the writers had to invent.
You may not like it, and that's fine, but at this point is was OK'd as canon.
Except it isnt because it isnt logical. Lore is logical, it was OK'd by Zo$. Doesnt make it canon. If it were not a CS item, your reasoning could fit
So because it is obtained through the store it is somehow different?
It makes a big differenve because of incentive to make money, yes. Sell something 'cool' that people will buy or something lore friendly that people might not buy
Shame none of my chars are Werewolves, but I bought it nonetheless for the occasion I do wanna wolf aroundPlus the outfit he wears looks fantastic, I can see why some ppl would like it without the polymorph.
If Molag Bal can turn some ppl into Vampire Lords, then Hircine should definitely be able to do the same and be able to create Werewolf Lords. After all, he made Lycantropes, complete animals (The Hound), a Weredaedroth even,... A more intelligent and powerful werewolf shouldn't be a problem for him

It would be great if it was a skin and a costume, but the polymorph in itself is very well done I think.
I don't currently have any characters I want it for but I am now leaning towards getting it anyway, just in case I decide I want it later. Been bit by that in the past, passing on something I wasn't very interested in and then wanting it later when it was unavailable.

I could see it. Hircine granting a particularly favorable servant with power that blurs the line between human and beast form, or even just bitten by Hircine himself.

Also the hair.
I want the female non-beast race version's hair style so much!

If your rolling a character for an RP plot then I would recommend a vampire mainly due to the fact that most villains seek power and in most cases immortality which vampirism would provide, also vampire's are usually universally considered more evil and in this setting many view werewolves as food.MornaBaine wrote: »If Molag Bal can turn some ppl into Vampire Lords, then Hircine should definitely be able to do the same and be able to create Werewolf Lords. Although I don't play any characters that would use this (including my werewolf) as a roleplayer I just KNOW that sooner or later I'll be rolling a villain for a plot that will. LOL So I went ahead and snagged it.
I also think that, yes, the hairstyles associated with this NEED to be available on their own as well! ZOS, you could get an awful lot of mileage out of this one with just a modicum of effort... just sayin'.

See, now we're starting to get somewhere, a little insight to how your brain is working. So is everything on the store that is not obtainable in the game by other means lore breaking also? Or is it just this because you don't like it?
Plenty of people are openly hating this thing and wont buy it. If it were a free polymorph that you could get via a quest line I am guessing these same people would not like the way it looks there either.
