Sharing info with 3rd party vendors

Why am I agreeing to giving out my information to 3rd party vendors when I pay a subscription? Ive have never participated in a forum but I'm about to unsub and quit eso as this is unacceptable.. I cant talk to zenimax about it as they do not chat with anyone..

The sad reality is that everyone is out to get your information so they can monetise it.

As long as I don’t get spam email or someone steals my money, anyone and everyone can find out anything they want about me.

This is why you create an email account for the game that is soley for things like this, that way the important main accounts you use don't get cluttered. They can sell my email off to whomever they please. The spam they send me will never ever get read.

You might as well just get off the Internet, then. Or, you can dump all the big players like Google, Microsoft, FaceBook, LinkedIn, Twitter ad infinitum - get a VPN, use TOR and then promptly get on the NSA watchlist.

Why are you agreeing? Well, because you want to play the game. And they can make money selling your info.

It's a win-win...for them.

You, like the rest of us, are a collection of numbers and letters. This is the way of the world now.

Laws and regulation is the only thing that can change this. However, this will never will happen, cause there is too much money and power behind it.

You could always jump of the grid and disengage...but that is technically illegal.

This is what I do. I have a spam e-mail acct for any online transactions. My personal e-mail acct gets very little mail compared to the spam account.
