There is no way to avoid the DoT and the CC when soloing i've tried it myself the only way to survive would be to either shield or heal through it but like i said there is no way of avoiding it.

I was afraid of this... ty for helping me confirm though. I had managed to get to Galchobhar solo in Vet Bloodroot Forge and having been getting close to defeating him. Knowing that I can't actually get past the next boss anyway because of that mechanic is unfortunate. RIP solo vet bloodroot forge

Now that I've tested stuff with solo builds and finished pretty much all of the stuff I wanted to so far in HotR, it is time to solo these dungeons. Definitely sad to hear that Vet Bloodroot isn't soloable since all of the bosses in there were really cool fights imo. Stoneheart was especially cool and difficult to take down.
Anyway, I plan to *try* to solo Vet Falkreath Hold. I don't think it'll be too bad except for:
1. Seige Mammoth - deceptively difficult since I want to kill stuff with high DPS rather than a boring 10min fight
2. Domihaus - this boss looks really, really hard. Maybe impossible. I'm not sure I'll be able to pull it off. Not only will his Light Attacks deal high damage, but his Heavy Attack is difficult to see and oneshots me unless dodged. Even the AoE explosion that requires you to hide behind a pillar can be tough to notice until it's too late.
DPS Race+Limited movement+high damage taken from boss+Tons of Adds+Numerous difficult-to-see oneshot mechanics = nightmare to solo+possible lag cause the dungeon is new....
...... I'll try lol.

You can reflect his attacks though, and also the fireballs when he hits the ground. If you're on a sorc with pets, that doesnt really help ofc And his mitigation below 20% makes it really really difficult to kill him, especially since the adds are on an unlimited timer and infinetely respawn, unconditional on his health. Until exceute its definetely doable, as all mechanics are %-based.
Screams at 70%, 50%, 30%, 10% and on a timer after that.
Adds at 80%, 60%, 40%, 20% and infinetely after that.

Ohh nice! Ty for this! I beat all of the bosses before Domihaus today but had to call it quits to do something else before actually fighting him. Besides Domihaus, Vet Falkreath isn't too difficult solo.
This will all be good to know. Unfortunately I don't have any reflects and I don't slot pets because ppl complain about them so I do without. Helps people who watch the vids hopefully understand that any class can pull this off, not just Sorc.

Don't think shields are strong enough for it unless you had some serious tankiness underneath it for a magsorc.
May be cheesy if it works, but not sure how the likes of Phoenix and Immortal Warrior work when CC'd and die, Honestly don't know if you'll get back up and if it doesn't reset or not.
Just get the pets out

How are you managing to sanctify all the slow stragglers in the boss prior to Domihaus? You streaking like mad or just nuking/shielding?

If I remember correctly, the DoT you get from the explosion after the chain-CC is purgeable, so it should be doable even for a solo player.
Drummerx04 wrote: »The damage ticks on that chain explosion DoT are insane. It starts sort of manageable, a 23k shield SPAM holds it off... then I just drop instantly. The dot ticks by the end are getting through my shield and damaging my health in the same tick.
One possibility if you get super good at timing is to crushing shock your own chain stun. I've done similar feats in MoL. The add/boss beam stun will cause instant cast abilities to be AC'd, so if the interrupt telegraph is available at the instant of the chain CC and you have the animation queued, you can unpin yourself.

I'll test this to find out if that specific attack can be interrupted. 100% worth the effort if it actually works!
