Trading guilds, do you want automated financial reports?

Yes, adding automated, weekly financial reports is a good idea for trading guilds. It will make leading trading guilds less intensive and mundane. GMs can kick their feet up a little more.
I like the idea of the system you are describing, altho I forsee a lot of abuse...

Yes, but I would be worried about how to customize and cater to each guild's needs ... which is different for every single trading guild on every single platform ...

@Artis, it was @Whiphid who said something about MM, sir, not me. I don't even know what MM is. I presume it's a PC ADD-ON.

    That's what you said.

The purpose of the theoretical ratio is determining GM (and senior officers) profit margins, if implemented properly.

Agreed, absolute numbers are more valuable in determining overall profitability. However, this is a slippery slope. Report the "absolute" guild trader cost, or even the "absolute difference between costs and sales" and you open up the possibility of trader spying by means of reverse engineering sales using the sales log.

Then what did you mean? How can absolute difference be used in a way that a ration can't?

And yes, MM is an addon on a PC, and unless you don't suggest implementing something for console only, MM will be used on PC together with those reports. You didn't mention MM, but you mentioned the sales log, which I read as a synonym to MM (because that's MM essentially is - a sales log). So what did you mean by that? How can reverse engineering be done with the difference but not with the ratio?

But anyways, explain what you meant. I already asked you in the previous comment, but for some reason you just referred me to another user, when I asked you about the paragraph you posted - the one I quoted above.
