Why both no cp and cp bgs need to be available

1. People prefer one or another. Some people like both No cp small scale pvp and some like cps for their pvp in small scale
2. Some people don't like fighting god mode cp builds and some people like feeling godly
3. If cp replaces no cp completly it will turn off those like no cp SMALL scale pvp we can't experiance in large scale no cp cyrodil.

Having both as options will benifit those who like using the cp that earned in cp bgs and so low cps can have an option contribute in no cp campaigns as they wouldn't as much and be farmed in cp campaigns

Tldr: ppl like no cp because they don't want to spend months spending months grinding mobs to be in an even playing field as those who have played more or that like no cp gameplay better

    If I can be honest, CP shouldn't even be in the game as its basically the old VR system with additional passives.

    In my opinion, the passives and their progression should align only under specific skill lines and any post 50 ideas should exist in the skill line progression meaning todays 50 cap becomes 51-XY as things increase.

    In this CP points would go away and align under the skill lines choices we've made where this meaningfully allows unique builds but under the logic of the character build choices as it begins at level 1.
    In terms of gear levels and all....that would make sense for item X and Y to require level XY within its existing use by skill lines.


    To me that's a lot of reworking but worth removing all these complaint threads.

    Obviously the wording is biased here to get people to agree with you and select the first option but nonetheless I believe only no-CP should be available.

    CP will just be awful in BGs. Even now in no-CP, I've had 15 min death matches where the winning team only gets to like 15 kills because every team is made up of tanky magplars and mag wardens - fortunately, because its no-CP, those matches only happen once in a blue moon. But CP would make it 10 times worse. I could honestly envision a CP death match ending without a single kill. Or with the winning team having like 3 kills. It would be a horrible grindfest.

    If a CP queue was added in addition to no-CP it would simply split the population up. I would rather ZOS focus solely on no-CP BGs and make sure to balance around that. I honestly don't get why people want CP in BGs so much. All it does it add to survivability and slow down the game. Do you honestly like those unkillable builds? Does that make it more fun? Do you like beating up on poor CP 200s with your 660 CP, is that it? Why do people want to add CP to BGs which have worked perfectly well without CP?

    The ZOS team KNOWS that no-CP is far superior for BGs. That is why they made BGs only no-CP from the beginning. I implore them to stick to their guns and keep it no-CP despite some whining from some players on forums who keep getting wrecked in BGs and are trying to blame it on the fact that "BGs are no-CP."

    Not to play devils advocate cause I'm not a CP fan either, but I believe the devs know that CP is problematic for different reasons. One theory they have is server strain.....I haven't read or heard them comment on whether CP or no CP was better in terms of WHY they chose to release BGs without CP outside of lag or server strain. I do see where it was confirmed they are testing the server and lag issues.

    Just my understanding maybe I'm wrong as I'm not around as much as I use to be. Perhaps they've learned their theory is false or their original ideas and changes aren't creating the desired outcome they hopped

    Not hating on CP points. I prefer Cyrodiil Campaign with them, BUT, until they actually figure out how to balance the CP so we don't have virtually unkillable players with certain configurations they need to keep BG the way it is. It's bad enough that some players 1 v 15 for like 5 minutes before they are finally taken down. Can't even imagine the pain in the *** they would be with in BG.

    Problem is, BG population is damn low. By splitting queues into CP and non-CP it would be even worse. Rather focus on population problem. ZoS thinks that CP restriction was the cause of low BG population. It wasn't, but let them learn from their mistake.

    I think that BGs need competition. A for fun-only mode can't survive for long in terms population. Seriously, who would participate in Olympic Games if it was for fun-only without posibility to compare your skill and experience with others.

    Add competition to BGs (a ranking system of some sort or change current leaderboards to work like trial ones) and I am completely satisfied with BGs wheter are they CP or non-CP.

    I would like the choice.

    Whilst I am a max CP player I personally do PvX and move around the game a lot. So if I am playing CP content due to the changes in the champion system having some PvE and PvP stars now I need to respec often.

    Also this makes battlegrounds a horrible experience for fresh CP players who will be L50 C10 then get to enjoy facing C6XX premade's every match.

    I wanted a "The sky is falling" option. :/

    The way its implemented now is not the way it will stay for forever.
    Everyone in the same q -> fast pops, unbalanced matches
    Bracketsystem (low level w/o cp; low level w/ cp; <cp160; <cp 300; <cp500; <max cp) -> fairer matches, but longer qs. ("fairer" as in "as good as the mechanics to prevent ppl from smurfing into a lower bracket to gank newbies r").

    While i agree that a bracketsystem sounds better, esp w/ additional options like premade <> pug/trinity <> ffa, i also heard rumors, that dds tend to wait 30 to 60 minutes for a gf-pop for dungeons in a non-bracket trinity only system, and that those grps have a high chance to fail the run.

    Long story short: Its pts, they dont want u to play your prefered playstyle, they want u to test out cp-enabled battlegrounds. Theres nothing saying "from now on and forever, there will only be one bg-mode, which is cp enabled".

    My whole circle of friends only play NO CP PvP and some Battlegrounds although we were kind of waiting for:


    Choosing what BG you play (Choosing what mode of PvP/BG to play is essential. None of us wanted to capture the flag game many times in a row)

    Battlegrounds to become more pop[ular with players. The nights we have tried just run into the same groups over and over again, many players know each other and the BG turns out to be heavily weighted or just boring fighting the same group repeatedly.


    The main reason we stick to NO CP PvP because it has cliche/quirky builds that aren't totally OP. Adding CP to these builds just turns them to a cheese fest.


    The only reason i can see why ZoS doesn't make many things in ESO have more choice is little people are playing them and would turn even more dead/barren. Maybe this would happen at the start but i have always pushed for more choice over being more restrictive.

    We ALL knew this would be the state of BG's after implementing CP for them. Even those of us that like and prefer CP Cyrodiil, warned ZOS BG's would be ruined by GOD Mode tank builds. When in Cyrodiil there are builds that can yawn while 10-20 players furiously throw EVERYTHING they have at them a 4x4x4 just isn't going to work.

    When Maxed CP'd DPS with everything BIS can't even fart in the same general direction as these builds there is clearly an game breaking imbalance.

    ZOS knows its own resource capabilities and may need to choose one or the other to better serve themselves and the customers.

    Option 2
    Have both. Let is run for a while and see what is more popular in playtime and drop the other with that as you explanation for dropping it.
