Does Performance and Quality mean nothing??

How long has it been since ZOS promised us "incremental changes" that would lead to better Cyrodiil performance?? The only campaign that isn't empty is literally unplayable with constant DCs and debilitating ability lag. I want to buy your expansions ZOS, I want to buy crowns, I want to tell my friends to play this game again, but I can't. How hard is it FFS? Shouldn't there be someone that works for them to understand the connection between game performance, quality, and sales?

I actually was playing in PvP. Got really bad lag and logged out. Logged on my new PvE tank for pledges and guess what? Lag in dungeons...

I have my stuff on ultra and aside from every once and awhile getting infinite load screen on pvp I really don't have a problem even when running in 24 man groups siege equipment on both sides being used and spells hurled about. I don't think ZOS can nor should they always have to stop what they are doing and make so that lower spec'd computers and low internet speed play just as good as other rated computers and internet connectivity.

In my opinion there comes a time where you will just have to upgrade to keep up with tech and if you can't there is no shame in it but well I'm sorry they shouldn't have to lower game standards for it.

With the exception of infinite load screens I have not suffered the issues as described by OP much like @rynth and I am not running a top spec machine anymore.

I run large groups in Cyro, sometimes fully planned ahead and other times are they are complete PUG`s.
When I heard people talking about lag on Discord and asking if anyone else is getting it the majority of the time the answer is no. In my experience the problem is not as widespread as it once was and it does seem to impact certain individuals.

Pre-empting @Zbigb4life tarring me with a ZOS brush as he did to @rynth this is an observation and it is as objective as I can make it. In the bad old widespread problem days it hit everyone, why is it not hitting everyone now? Where else can it lie other than with the individual or their path to the servers?

I will admit that I PVE more often than I PVP so there is a possibility that I am lucky or perhaps I am the key to system stability and performance and my mere presence is the solution to all the server woe`s.

If you're lagging everywhere then it's not a normal thing. That's either something on your end or a case of something abnormal going on with the servers.

We do need Wheeler back on ESO Live soon though to update us on how things are going with Cyrodiil. ZOS has promised a performance update across the board for Clockwork City but I think this is more aimed at the FPS side of things.

Cyrodiil issues come from too many server requests which means they either need to invest in hardware updates (which we don't know what they're running and may not help) or find a way to have the games abilities make less server calls.

I play pvp regularly on console and can tell you absolutely certain that we get multiple 'unusual long loading screens'. It is in fact so that it can happen when I am in a group or when I play solo. Yesterday I had to close the game 5 times in 50 minutes because I got the loading screens (as well as my teammates). It has noting to do with my connection, I have this issue with no other game nor have I ever had it. It only occurs with ESO but yeah another typical reaction that it's the player fault.

BTW I am not tarring anyone or anything and it was never my intention to offend you. But people should be able to give a comment about their (hence in this case mine) experience. If my game and of my friends get regularly infinite loading screens only with ESO then lies the problem with the game and not with me. But some people can't stand that we give a criticism or that we have questions about the performance of ESO.
Don't get me wrong: I love the game but it could become so much better if they could get this resolved. Remember with the midyear mayhem event when there was a lot of pvp'ing (wish those days would come back soon) and there were numerous complaints about server performance.

I had the same issue as everyone else with lag and endless loading screens but they seem to have reduced when I use a wired internet connection and also close any update services through task manager. I'm not saying their gone and I still get only 24 fps in large fights but my ping is consistent so its good enough for me. I also have not gotten any more disconnects for quite some time.

Performance in Cyrodiil on Xbox is abysmal. As someone stated above, getting stuck in 5+ minute long loading screens is usual occurrence, never in for more than an hour before game crashes to Xbox dashboard. I really enjoy running with my guild in Cyrodiil but after 2-3 freezes i just tap out. Having to spend the time re-logging (and possibly having to queue again depending on what time of the day it is) just isn't worth it when i know i am going to crash for the 4th time in 45 minutes to an hour.

People keep playing and paying so they are managing based upon the customer response. The negative feedback is far less than the active participants....right or wrong, that’s the reality.

What maybe there are 10-15 complaint threads each update with 2-20 pages of comments but that’s only like 50-200 ppl. It’s no more than 10 updates a year but usually 4-6 main updates.

Perspective ...there are millions of active players according to what we can see on Steam, PSN and Xbox Live and that’s not counting regular PC

Does Performance and Quality mean nothing??

    @Hoked_on_ponix
Nothing is defined as a state of absence of value.

Performance is defined as the act of accomplishing action.

Quality is defined as an attribute or characteristic of something, typically in a positive or desired aspect.

So, the answer to your question is... no.

The main source of revenue right now is the crown store. Thus, we don't see any solid fixes for performance but lots of cool cosmetic stuff to buy. Zos essentially pivoted eso to a freemium smart phone game model, just on 3 major gaming platforms instead.

Zos is a well run company with professional staff.

Having fast internet connections doesn't mean it can't be an issue on your end.

Most likely is an issue on zos end. There's enough evidence at this point that clearly shows Zos's servers can't handle 3 faction war during prime time. You can easily test if it's your connection or zos servers.

Do you experience the same lag while pveing? Can you run a bandwidth test to Texas and still get a low ping? Can you goto a different non populated pvp server and experience no lag? Can you play another mmorpg with no lag? And then finally the number of concurrent posts complaining about lag. Too much of a coincidence.

Like I said easy to test and guarantee that the fault is on zos server. It just can't handle the load and massive code calculations.
