I saw this person x in zone asking for group and occurred to me it's been awhile since I seen such a thing zone. So this had me wondering, do you quest solo or with a group
I always quested solo, it's easier imo. you dont need to wait for other's etc. I only quested with a group in craglorn, because solo wasnt possible back in the day.
I only quest solo, bit if I'm doing a quest where it's go here and kill X, and I see another playing doing the same quest but slightly behind me, I'll wait for them to catch up so no one has to wait for the target to respawn

I quest solo because it leaves me in complete control of my schedule. I have been 'same day same way' as other players doing quests who have asked to group and I normally am happy to join them. I mostly play a healer and it is her nature to toss out heals and support to any friendly health bars that are not full. In delves and public dungeons, she often gets asked to group.
I'm questing solo for three reasons: I don't have friends, questing solo is easier, my character is a loner. But sometimes I see couples questing together and it's kinda cute for me.

There is no reason to ever group for quests with the exception of some in Craglorn. The content in this game is the easiest of almost any game I've ever played. The only thing you really need to group for are world bosses and even many of those can be solo'd it's just a waste of time. In my ideal ESO world, there would be fewer quests that were more difficult to complete and actually required you to really know the game combat, or feature a difficulty setting so that bosses in quests could reach say vma levels of difficulty. And each zone would have maybe a couple of quests that would require a legit need for a group. ESO is a quantity based game. Better rewards for more difficult content would be great. I'd rather spend my time figuring out how to beat one hard boss than doing ten mindless quests.
Not doing quests anymore, it happens when I farm mats I take a quest I won't finish or I finish in case the other npc needed (or the quest marker) is met on the farming run, otherwise I will delete quest next time "log full" pops again.
Though back when I was questing, I was solo. A couple of times I went with a friend that truly was into questing and also enjoyed listening to all the npcs speaking but it's not my preference, I enjoyed more solo.
At any rate I think they should buff considerably (like A LOT) the quests rewards, people would be suddenly interested again in questing.
I mean, like you receive instead of the crappy 86 gold or the Nobody's sword, a 100 raw ancestor silk, or 10 mastic, or 4 kutas, or 2 tempering alloy: sure material would be inferior tier at lower levels.
Or at least buff the gold, something like 5k/6k depending on level. These are actual rewards and would bring to questing great interest, damn I would start questing like there is no tomorrow and wait for new quests to be added.

every time I try questing in a group, usually with a RL friend.. it just.. takes forever. there are fun moments here and there, but they are mostly filled with waiting for each other, figuring out how to split crafting resources, splitting up when you chose different quest options, and just... I like questing at my own pace. when I play with other people, its for content where gameplay is at the forefront, rather then secondary to the story and such.
dirty worthless casual.
Reputation is what other people know about you. Honor is what you know about yourself. Guard your honor. Let your reputation fall where it will. And outlive the ***
A lot of quests are chained, you could only do them in a group with a dedicated partner/people. But at the same time , except for parts of Craglorn, there is little challenge as it is, doing them in a group just amplifies that issue.
When I see a new guy asking for help with a quest boss I do like to help out though.
Mostly solo, so I can take my time and play through them how I want. I've grouped with others before if there was a desire to rp through a quest. Never been a fan of rushing things for the sake of completion, no matter what the content.
There is no incentive to do them in a group, I mean the difficulty is non existent and you don't have much other benefit either. In fact I did that once and it was more a pain in the *** then anything else.
I'll do a quest encounter co-operatively if others are there, but I don't group for PvE questing in any MMO, it's too problematic when you consider people coming and going from the group, being in different stages of the quest, and wanting to rush on while I want to read the quest messages and find my own way around etc.
Well, I'm not a solo player, I mostly play in groups, but when I do quests, I prefer to solo. I'm a big TES fan and I really like exploration and lore and I think that questing with other people would be distracting. I dont really need help anyway, and I dont rp.

I think...the only quest I haven't done solo is the Wuyvus WB in Vvardenfell...can't solo that boss...and some of the Craglorn ones...which I knocked out with some guildies...
