BG scoring system and sorc.

It is not a whine thread about sorc. 
Yesterday i passed by a friend's house who join the game back after 2 years. His sorc is barely cp160 and i wanted to try it (never played sorc myself) . So we jumped into pvp BG and tadaaam . A goood ol deathmatch. For the record, that sorc has decent purple gear, but nothing fancy, only crafted ***. I jumpend in and just spam endless fury and crystal fragment all around, i died a bunch of time and was thinking i was doing realy bad. But at the end, score tabs appeared and ....wow. First of my team , 3200 point, 18 kills 7 death 7 assist. Just by doing nothing. I had around 245k dmg (our dk and tempalr were around 700k and 600k) but was first at the score tabs.
What the hell?? are devs blind at the point the will not change the scoring system based on dmg done??

Yep, these permablocking, healbotting, ganking mag Sorcs are really frustrating. Close second on my frustration scala is the idiotic scoring system in BG. But hey, nerf sorcs.6 -

Thats normal for a sorc.

100% aggre that it is the system that needs to be changed, it should be the one that does the most damage to the target that gets the kill, while the others should get kill assists.0 -

✭✭Let's be honest, there are so many bad implementations in BGs. It's not problem of a Sorc or any other class specificaly. I would say, BGs are finished maybe on like 30%? Tons of work and tweaking is needed in BGs, yet nothing is being done. All they do about BGs is adding new modes. Nobody asks for that, we want to have finished current modes and then ZoS can start adding new.
1. Scoring is awful, killsteal only and have the biggest score.
2. Leaderboards are awful. A reflection of time played and not player performance.
3. Matchmaking is awful. Split Solo/Duo and 4-premade queues because solo or duo players get constantly stomped by well coordinated premade groups.
4. Balance is awful. Permablocking tanks will be even more of a thing with the addition of CPs into BGs.
5. No ranked mode. How many MMOs out there do not have a ranked option for instanced PvP?
And that's not all. Make BGs great!

✭✭✭✭Yep, the system drastically over-rewards killing blows as opposed to damage contribution. Sorcs have the easiest kill steal execute in the game.
It's a bit vexing, because as you state this is not a "nerf sorc" issue, it's a "make battlegrounds scoring make sense" issue.
Deathmatch should reward 2 points per kill, 1 to whoever lands the killing blow, 1 to whoever does the most damage to that player. Boom. Effectiveness of killstealing reduced 50%.Thrice Empress, Forever Scrub0 -
