Who would like this!
ECONOMIC SIMULATOR INFLUENCED
Everybody has an opportunity to pick ONE "hub"/trading post/port in NIRN/MUNDUS that their goods are located at. I'd limit spots to 1 per internet connection or maybe with testing no limits.
--goods = everything you would normally buy/sell in a guild store...
Your "home post" can be programmed to buy! Like, "buy+temp alloy+<10k" and your hub would buy all alloys under 10k until you ran out of gold.
Your "home post" can be programmed to sell! Like, "sell+temp alloy+13k" and your hub would sell all of your alloys for 13k until you ran out of alloys.

Then everybody is given something like a "ship"/trade caravan/etc. that has space like a bank that can be upgraded just how bank space/mount speed is.

THEN, you can program your ship/caravan/etc. to visit other hubs and conduct trade for you just like the above with the addition,
"auridon+buy alloy<10k, 1 hour"
"greenshade+buy alloy<10k, 1 hour"

your merchant would travel to auridon, buy alloyws for less than 10k for an hour THEN travel to green shade, buy alloys for 10k for an hour and then...do whatever you tell it!

your merchant would have to have travel time so, 1 zone per hour, 2 hours? idk, the devs could come up with that...1 zone a day might be too much. example from auridon to greenshade would 1 hour and auridon to grahtwood would be like 2 hours (1 zone v. 2 zones).
=====================

I KNOW = IMPOSSIBLE = BUT I'D STAY TIL THEY SHUT THE GAME DOWN unless they carried this genius to the next game! :-)

WHAT DO YOU THINK???

Would be funny if everyone just picked the same hub for convenience. Maybe they could just have one zone dedicated to players’ traders/stalls, like a bazaar.

so we'd have to just put limits on how many each hub can have like player base divided by hubs?

No thanks. I'd like an improved trading system (not an auction house necessarily although even that would be better than what we have now) with decent features, but this isn't it.

it would add a whole new layer to the economy...

especially with stuff like TIME and LIMITS on certain aspects to limit abuse...like a real economy.

SAY im trying to level something i can set my store to buy up all enchants at a certain prices...
    or armor or???

way more...REALISTIC on how an actual economy works.

like those walking merchant? now they make sense! ;-)

Ya, that would probably be necessary considering players would pile up in areas making too much lag, I assume. It sounds like some players still like the travel aspect though, so the bots isn’t a bad idea in that regard; sort of halfway between the way it is now and a full-fledged global auction house.

    cool!

but wouldn't it be a good layer to the game?

people that love to shop for deals aren't affected, the time limits make it impossible for the system to do it faster than a human.

RIGHT and trade moves through actual routes and stuff...this could give rise to more taxes too!

guilds don't have to be ousted either...perhaps guilds that have a trader in a town pay no tax on trade there! idk there is a way!

An interesting and fun idea. Especially if my ship changed with the upgrades.

The 'sell' part will never happen unless you find a way to make it a serious gold sink. Say, 30% goes to the merchant.
