Best Winter Embrace Abilities?

Looking to be a Frost Mage Warden with Ice Staff... any idea which Winter Embrace abilities are the best as both Damage and/or a Tank?

Also, does Arctic Blast Damage Scale off of Magicka or Health?

Artic is health, and actually curves rather well on it

Gripping does as well but total curves horribly

Northern Storm: epic Blizzard that increases your Max Magicka

Winter's Revenge: unless you're going full tank, this is the better morph

Ice Fortress: for some strong defense

Shimmering Shield: against other ranged users

All of those combined with Wall of Elements should make you a pretty cool

does any number crunchers know what your health would have to be for artic wind and morphs to surpass the healing effectiveness of your typical vigor cast? also would the % based heal increase with major mending, and other healing received/given buffs? or would it be a flat%?

this is on stam warden obviously.

So it's 10% + 2% x5 over 10 sec or a total of 20% over 10 sec, so 2% per sec average

At 40k health that's 800 hps average

I'm gonna guess the vigor will almost always be better

BTW major Mending etc does buff Wind, it'll make the 800 become 1040.

The damage part of artic morph (if so picked) curves much better

@Waffennacht thanks man, figured vigor would remain king but was hoping for a class ability

Especially one that gives me class bonuses through passives

Which Morph for Crystallized Shield is Better?

My favorite shield morph is the one that grants Major Heroism when a shield breaks. Means more Tree ultimate spam in a pinch.
