Black Sacrament: Kill target with poison issue [solved]

I needed to kill the target with poison and given I'm a sorcerer, I went out of my way to make an charged staff with poison enchantment. I also made alchemical poisons, but decided against using them as they did less poison damage than the enchantment of my staff.
When I went to kill the target, the poison enchantment repeatedly proced as expected and killed the target, yet, I failed the objective.
What did I do wrong?

You still kill them with the Blade of Woe, but you have to have a poison (alchemy type) equipped on that bar.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

✭✭✭✭You need an alchemical poison slotted. It does NOT need to fire, however! Slotting an achemical poison and using Blade of Woe will work just fine!Thrice Empress, Forever Scrub3 -
