Black Sacrament: Kill target with poison issue [solved]

I needed to kill the target with poison and given I'm a sorcerer, I went out of my way to make an charged staff with poison enchantment. I also made alchemical poisons, but decided against using them as they did less poison damage than the enchantment of my staff.
When I went to kill the target, the poison enchantment repeatedly proced as expected and killed the target, yet, I failed the objective.
What did I do wrong?

Thanks in advance!

This is very misleading on how it's done.

You still kill them with the Blade of Woe, but you have to have a poison (alchemy type) equipped on that bar.

You need an alchemical poison slotted. It does NOT need to fire, however! Slotting an achemical poison and using Blade of Woe will work just fine!
