    EXPANSION
I felt it was worth the money - I don't really give 2 *** what they call it.

At my rate of play, I'll get about 40 hours worth of play my first run through (reading books, listening to the quest lines and dialog,, exploring, etc.) MINIMUM.

That's $1.00 per hour of entertainment. I can't even rub one out with that kind of Return On Investment....

No question, this is a DLC; If you want a example of a real expansion well look at the recent Final Fantasy 14 Realm Reborn content recently added. That is an expansion, sorry but anyone who tries to say other wise is just defending the game which is all fine but is an emotional answer.
Now if only FFX14 came to Xbox one ... then again my mates been showing me his gameplay as a(n) samurai and man that's cool AF!

they will never bring it to Xbox for the simple reason because you don't need a psn sub to play it where as usual xbone didnt want to entertain that idea hence why no xbone version....
Good thing that pc players and PS4 players can play together would have been nice to see xbone as well in the mix!!
On another note doubt it's your mates game play as the expan is due to hit June 20 or June 16 with pre-order and early access.. but 2 new classes new raid new dungeons heaps of new gear character lvl increase new housing area I think at least 4-5 new huge areas under water area too new mounts , story continuation and so on all for $90aud collectors edition .. sorry but that's an expansion not one area 1 new class with crap locked behind a paywall and then charge you full price for the expan in the first place pretty low act even for ZOS..
ZOS just capitalising on the elder scrolls name by sucking in the fans and screwing them a premium price for it!

The distinction has nothing to do with size...

I did buy it. I spend more money on a nice dinner. And considering I am not an ESO+ member, the amount I actually spend per year on discount crown packs for dlcs and these new chapters is laughably cheap compared to the vast hours of enjoyment I get out of ESO.

So glad you said this. The price is in the end laughably cheap. A few cups of overpriced coffee, or a couple of hours at the bar, hell the average length of a movie (roughly) is 120 minutes and in California you will spend more than forty dollars for two tickets, popcorn and a drink. Hell I would argue that even the naysayers and trolls on these forums get more than 40 dollars worth of enjoyment just posting their negative comments.

A cheap price =/= good value though.

Value is determined comparatively. Does Morrowind offer comparable value to expansions from other AAA MMOs? Not even close.

That's a good point. I'm not sure what people expect out of an update in order to justify it as an "expansion"

More content. Most MMO expansions release with far more content than this (i.e. multiple raids and group dungeons, multiple zones, etc.)

I don't have a problem with paying for the content received. However, I do not think it is unreasonable to expect that after 3 months at least a few of the major class-breaking Warden bugs get fixed, or even acknowledged, which they haven't.

The only issue ZOS has even acknowledged is the stealth bug in Cyrodiil.

    - Blue Betty is still locking you in combat preventing node looting, etc. in addition to stealth.

    - Bear is still causing anything it starts combat with to reset.

    - Maturation is still causing all warden heals to hurt you, removing and re-adding the toughness bug constantly, making Spell Power Cure not work.

    - Magicka Warden still does ~20% less DPS than every other class.

    - Ridiculous Betty laser beam is still causing seizures.

Warden was a big selling point of the expansion. The only thing that makes me a little sore is the fact that in 3 months since release, they haven't gone back and fixed any of these outstanding issues.

    It's a money-grabbing backstab for subbers.

    Ain't bought it.

Takes ages to complete the kill 20 wardens in Cyro, surely that must mean something in terms of product quality.

    Thank you.

No one will find hours upon limitless hours of entertainment for so cheap a cost, whether it be going to the movies, going bowling, playing laser tag, and the list goes on and on and on.

And yet, people have these emotional knee-jerk reactions when it comes to paying for content in a game.

I'll be the first to admit I'm fanboi-ish when it comes to ESO... But Morrowind was a DLC. Pure and simple. Should have been a Crown DLC like every other DLC.

Now the next update, in a way, furthers the Morrowind Story-line. You don't need Morrowind to play it but Morrowind introduces Clockwork City, how could you not play Morrowind first, then the upcoming DLC?

    DLC
I choose DLC only because I compare t to other ESO DLC. It was one of the largest if not the largest? But still doesn't feel like an expansion for some reason.
