Whoa whoa Slow down there buddy! We been asking to be able to change traits for 3 years. This stuff takes years to put in game don't push ZoS on other things that we want and they have the tools to implement.

Nope, update 16 will have transmutation. Transmogrification will come with a later quarter patch, maybe already in Q1 next year but it might be later. Currently we only know that they are working on it.Edited by feyii on September 19, 2017 1:22PM2 -

They've stated that it will be entirely seperate from transmutation, so not likely the same currency.0 -

Probably with an even more annoying grind behind it bc optic > everything else, at least that is what one could think by looking at crown store prices for reskinned mounts and stuff.0 -

Made me laugh. I don't think they are that inept. I remember it when I asked for this for warhammer online, and with a half-dead team for a nearly dead game they put the feature in within just a couple of months from suggesting it. It really is not more complicated than creating additional cosmetic slots into which you can put the gear that you want to wear cosmetically, and it overrides the appearance of your equipment.
It does seem, though, that they are probably planning on something slightly more complicated that they can cash out on, like in transmutation with those crystals that we might get into the eso store and so on.

✭✭Whatever way they implement transmogrification I hope it will not be as grindy as the transmutation system with the crystals. At the end of the day, change of motif is cosmetic only and should cost gold/AP points only. If they introduce some stupid crystals that MAY drop from VET content only this will be years of promises down the drain.PC - EU:

✭✭✭✭✭OP, Zos has said they are still working in a system to restyle gear appearance. For now we are getting the better part and that is being able to change the trait. Significantly more important, though it will be nice to choose the motif for our gear regardless of how we got it.
When they will offer a system to restyle gear, do not know. No ETA.0
