I want the devs to realize that Grinding content is inherently bad and that "Player vs. RNG" is a mechanic only employed by developers who have no business being developers.

I'm here for the fantasitc storytelling and, really, all else is irrelevant. But the grindy crap is getting so out of hand that it overshadows the greatness that drew me to this game in the first place.

Real PvP Combat in small groups being the norm, no ult bombs, no PvE Keep capture, just real fighting.

This would probably only be possible if there were no CP, no ults, and no animation canceling...

So about as likely to happen as (insert metaphor)

We need a REAL guild hall system. Having a guild's chosen hall belong to an individual with no possibility of transfer, ever, just plain sucks. Then add ability to place a trader stall in your guild hall...along, perhaps with a wayshrine.

A global auction house, IMO would be a huge improvement

Not just no but HELL no. It would not. Dont get me wrong, our current system has some SERIOUS flaws....but a global auction house would create more problems than it solves (more gold farmers/bots/spammers, FAR easier for players to control the market and economy, reduction in the size of the world just to name a few).

Instead I'd rather see the blind bid system reviewed. It isnt working, in my opinion and the opinion of a lot of high sellers and guild leaders...the lack of traders for guilds wanting space....getting pushed out for a week only to see the cost to keep such a trader FURTHER push the amount guilds need to collect from members above and beyond taxes just to stay open....its not sustainable. Eventually this system is gonna spiral beyond control.

Right now very few guilds can even cover half the bid they need to make to keep a trader from sales taxes (7%, and the system eats half of that, so 3.5% of sales).

Lets take an example (yes, these are real numbers but not real names). The guild "These Are Not the Deals You Are Looking For...." has a trader in....lets call it Raywest. They are selling over 100 mil a week, which means they have 3.5 mil or so to use for a trader. But....weekly guilds try to take their spot, and occasionally they succeed. Every time that happens the permanent cost to keep that trader goes up....and up....and up. Eventually they start pushing 10% of their sales weekly, just to keep their trader. So they do things like make weekly sales reqs, and do things like raffles and auctions to collect enough money to keep the trader going.

Net result? Many players end up spending near 10% of what they make weekly in raffle tickets, donations, etc....some spend much, much more. Selling almost becomes a second job. You COULD just use traders in crap areas that dont have such requirements, but odds are you'll sell little; there's a REASON traders in the Big Four zones sell so well.

Other result? Guild officers and leaders end up spending more and more of their time taking care of keeping the cash rolling in to keep the trader, and less and less time gaming. It takes a VERY rare breed to be effective at this and not either go stark raving mad or get fed up and go watch old "Hello, Larry" reruns just to detox.

Bottom line: this system does NOT work and isnt sustainable. We need something that avoids the AH yet doesnt make the huge mess trading has become on ESO.
