vMA obligatory rage post. WHY, ZOS, WHY?!

And. Still. Not. A. SINGLE. Lightning. Staff.
I farmed it enough for accidental Flawless Conquerer run. I didn't mean to. Made pauses for smoking and chating with guildies and on 8th arena realized, 'Wait. I didn't die yet. Okay, let's see if I can manage Flawless'. Well, I can manage Flawless. But not getting Lightning Staff.
It's clearly l2p issue. I need to git gud in RNG.
Any advice from experience players? I think my build for praying RNGesus is wrong
Help? English isn't my native, apologies for any mistakes.

I agree it's completely pathetic. I'm resigned to having NOT BiS now and making the most of what I can get.
VMA farming is sheer masochism for so many people.

The truth is - only the announcement of Transmutation system was the reason I went there for farming. I did complete in in Morrowind 3 times, got lucky on 3rd - Inferno Sharpened, which was nerfed 1 week later
But... I honestly saw more good in just going and leveling magDK.
The system as it is now is abysmal - chances of getting the right weapon are so abysmally low, I see 0 point in trying.
But Transmutation... I went there. I went there with all the hope in the world... 2 weeks later - Flawless Conquerer and literally everything but Lightning Staff
Yeah... SIlly me forgot that one little detail... To Transmute a weapon you need to have a weapon
Still though. All hail Transmutation system! It honestly makes running vMA meaningful. Without it it's just so worthless, I have no words for it.

30k? If only. Even Hardened Ward doesn't give that and I had long ago sticked to Empowered, because 8 secs beat 6. And on 9th arena I prefer good old Harness, because last boss is what it is. Spamming shields does not make you Flawless, spamming shields makes you dead. Idiotic AI of pets doesn't help much also.
Flawless is easier for sorcs than it is for everyone else, it would be stupid to deny it. But if sorcs were that mythic "auto-win" everyone is just sooo convinced they are, every sorc would be Flawless. Well... That's not what I see. Especially - in HotR.

Every mag sorc who ever beat VMA these days is flawless cause it's faceroll on it, same with stam sorc.
Regarding RNG well maybe the new weapons will overshadow VMA weapons and become BiSXbox one EU

Cage_Lizardman✭✭✭✭✭I've done it a couple dozen times, got three lightning staffs in precise, nirn and defending. I guess I've been lucky. Haven't got flawless yet, I think my best run was 3 deaths.
Doing it with a stam warden rather than the sorc seems to get me a lot more staffs, even if mostly charged ice. Also can't fail to get on the leaderboards with a warden, I never did that with the sorc.0 -
isthatujonwayne✭✭✭what difference does it make having flawless as to whether or not u get a good drop. there's a lot of weapons to get, just keep going if u want 1 that bad. I had 7 sharp inferno staffs many moons ago. never had 1 dagger. such is life0

Not true in case of EU Sorcerer leaderboards. In a strong week with many participants, the bottom line of the weekly leaderboard is 540k.

I participate in all except Warden leaderboards every week. Based on my observations from last weeks, NB bottom line is 20-30k lower than the one of Sorcs. 520k is usualy enough to safely stay in NB leaderboard. You just have to finish it, warden leaderboards are not even half full. You can even see some scores as low as 3-400. I guess people do that for laughs by taking every sigil in every round?
Not that warden is particularly easy, their self-heals are nothing special compared to surge.0
