I hate constantly breaking immersion to see where I need to go. I think console should have a minimap toggle since we don't have access to addons.

No, no. By all means, have at it. I don't begrudge you using any tool that ZOS brings to the table.
I guess I should have said that I have yet to have one single life positively or negatively impacted due to the buff timers.
As pertains to PC the main reason I enjoy console more is due to the fact that I prefer ALL GAMES with virtually no visual aids. So, while I was on PC, I personally chose to not use add ons. Even great stuff like Awesome Guild Store that have nothing to do with combat. I understood that I was putting myself at a disadvantage and I was cool with it.
I'm just at a point now where I feel as an opponent having the console buff timers up and me not won't put me at a competitive disadvantage. I'm gonna turn mine off next time I'm on. But by all means, use any legal tool provided to you.0 -

You hate to break immersion by looking at a whole map? Which is exactly what immersion would be if you where looking at a map.
But you'd rather a little toggle map, like you get on shooter game in the corner of your screen... how on earth is this little toggle map more "immersive" than looking at an actual map???
Imagine running around irl and constantly seeing a little map in the corner of your eyesight... not immersive, the map is far more immersive.
I'm not fussed over immersion and I'd like this toggle but thought I should point out the flaw in your immersion thinking.Xbox one EU

It helps you stay on track, see nearby places of interest etc.

We have this built in thing called memory in our brains. Look at map, access available stored memory. I dont use, and never will use a minimap.0 -

This is even worse on a PS4 Pro as the details rather obscure everything on the paltry level of zoom we get. Those are supposed to be exploration items. It's not that PC gets things others don't. It more like console players get the experience ZOS intended. I personally use those mods only to find the items I missed after completing a zone.
But yes, you should have a minimap as a toggle-able standard on console, as should PC players. As a PC player, I use the one from AUI.0 -

On the other hand...Mini Map Call of Duty Style..Possible Fighter jet HUD... And this seems logical for this to fit an ESO game??
