Is there a secret to getting in through keep doors fast (as in one click and you are in)?

I play on XBOX and something that has bugged me for a very long time in Cyrodiil is the inconsistency of getting into keep doors / wall doors fast when needed.... as in you are being chased by a zerg and need to hurry up and get into your keep. Most of the time I have to spam the A button before it finally lets me in but even then I will often be killed before I can get through but on the rare occasion one press of the button and I am in the door. I am sure lag is part of the problem but I know I am not lagging every time I need to get into a keep.

Anyways if someone knows any secrets could you please share them?

    Yep this is one of the biggest niggles in PvP I hate trying to get through a keep door and failing

    Just to confirm you're not not under attack whilst it's happening?

    Also even as bad as it is now, it's better than the old days of the "can't use doors at all" bug. :sweat_smile:

    There is no secret. The door behaviuor in PVP is the very bad, also on PC.

    Here are some examples:

    It's happen very often that I press E key one time and I go in the keep and immediately out again.

    Or I must press the E - key 1000 times before the game let me pass the door.

    Or when I come to the door on my mount. Press E - key. I dismount, I get up again and I'm still out.

    There are certainly many others who can report similar stupid behavior. Most of them have given up to report because nothing change.

    Either... It's the same if I am being attacked or not. Often I have time to get in but the game won't allow it so I get killed. Of course I often see people that seem to have no problem getting in (Ie - enemies that I am chasing and attacking or friendlies that are right next to me) in both cases they seem to have no problems getting in through the doors. These are the people I am reaching out to so they can share their secret! :)

    Whenever I am trying to get fast trough keep gate, I do it like this.
    • 3x balista, one in center of door, 2 on each side
    • ram on the middle balista

    This way I am always counted for ram population, and I fire all 3 balistas with ease. :trollface:

    Same issue most of the time I go into panic mode and just start smashing the controller on my face. Seems to work but my dentist disagrees

    If you're mounted, hit the sneak button then unsneak and you're off in a hurry and can click nodes or doors without waiting on the animation to dismount.

    If I remember correctly, being attacked sets a timer for a while where you can't go through a door. Not sure if this applies to pvp but it sure does to pve.
