No more teamwork in Imperial City? (Xbox One)

Hi,

In the first days of the event, I was alone and got invited by some people really fast. I met amazing people who are now in my friends list.
The thing is that in the last couple of days, it changed... Lot of people still playing in IC, but nobody invite anymore. Lot of people looking for group, but nobody get invited. It's just boring playing IC alone since you can't make strategy and you die easily.

Plz people, when someone want to join a group or you see someone alone, invite!

Thank you

Then start inviting them yourself. Form the group.

cuz most TV farming groups are full. And some groups like keeping no more than 12 PPL cuz only 12 ppl can get loot, maybe only 10. Even if you don't have group, you can still follow the PPL.

    i keep hearing this rumour
no idea where it comes from

    but it is complete rubbish

the reality is when it comes to molag bal only 12 people will get drops,
the 12 people are the ones who deal the most amount of damage.
it doesnt matter if they are in the same group or not,
being in a group of 12 in no way increases your chance of getting a drop

If there are 24 PPL in the group, only 12 get loot. Can you deny it? That's why some small groups like to pull the boss into a small room to fight so that the other ppl can't take their loot, and they can get more TV.

you are completley misunderstanding my post

to begin with i am discussing molag drops

you appear to be discussing the amount of telvar that is dropped from boss encounters 'upstairs' & flag bosses in imperial city and by the way your understanding of those drops is wrong too. those bosses have a set amount of telvar that is rewarded and that amount is equally divided by the number of people who attack them regardless of whether they are grouped or not

    but back on point

how the drops for molag work

so in an imaginary scenario there are only 13 people fighting molag

you are in a group of 12 and i am there by myself

lets also i asume i and the 11 people you are grouped with all deal more damage than you

that means i and the 11 people you are grouped with will get a drop and you will not

i have the sneaking suspicion ypou are the person i had this exact same debate with through whispers on xbox EU just a few days ago, if you are or not i will repeat what i said at the time - please learn to read!

Teamwork is punished in IC because Exp and Stone drops are split between players in the group.

If they actually wanted to encourage grouping they wouldn't penalize players for grouping.

It's not the 12 highest DPS, it's just a random 12 who deal at least 5% I am pretty sure.

all world boses, flag bosses, delve bosses (basically everything other than molag bal) you have to deal at least 3% of the damage to get loot,

but for molag it is the top 12 damage dealers

being in a group makes no difference,
people being there who are not in your group makes no difference
    your class/race/faction/level makes no difference

being in a group of 12 does not increase the drop rates of pets/skins/hakijos/imperial retreats they are rare drops, the only thing that has any effect of the drop rates is when zos decide to hold an imperial city event doubling the drop rates

    p.s.

during the event the same people were getting drops over & over again

likewise the same (light attack spammers) were complaing at their lack of drops over & over again

    this is not a coincidence

Running solo is not so bad if you have a solid build and stick to friendlies also try going to a campaign that favors the alliance you are in
