What kind of Spells/Permutations would you want to see introduced with Spell Crafting?

I'd love to see a summoning ability.

Duration would be a standard multiplier against the resource cost. A Persistent Duration (even through bars) would reduce your Max Magicka by a percentage.
Damage of the pet and abilities is based off of Max Magicka
Type of summon is influenced by the combination of spell types. A Daedroth would be AoE + Flame. A Flame Atronach would be Single Target + Flame (Large summons are AoE)

    I'd love to see a STAMINA summoning ability.

    Eh... When it comes to Daedra and the like I think those should still require Magicka and Scale off of Max Magicka.

    However, I'd be fine with a Shade type spell scaling off of your max stamina but being cast with magicka (a magical bastardization of your body).

    In terms of Stam/Max Stam I'd lean more towards a symbiotic infestation (spriggan kinda thing?) who 'grows' more the stronger you are physically.

    Sounds like something complicated with the way current classes work, wouldn't people just try to mimic whatever OP skill another class has with a ''custom spell'' and at the end everything would be the same except for passives?

    Of course, you could tweak the formula to not allow a custom spell to be better than a class skill, for example if you try to mimic the sorc pet, the custom spell would cost more/do less damage/have less health,etc but then what would be the point?
    To make crappy versions of other classes skills to try to cover the weaknesses of your own class? Might as well remove classes at that point.

    I'd be happy if I could turn all magicka class abilities into stamina morphs to be honest. I was looking at my skillbar just now and saw no class abilities, just weapon, alliance and fighter guild stuff.

    Note that it was a reply to some other post/question, not some impromptu "lets tease spellcrafting" and that response sounds like an IT/PR "safe way to say go away" rather than some "we're working on it."

    Same. I don't want spell crafting. Instead I would prefer every class skill to have 2 magicka morphs and 2 stamina morphs.

    They said something along those lines a long time ago with horse racing. I really wouldnt hold your breath. And if it does happen, I guarantee balance will be a complete nightmare.

    I'm on team never going to happen.

    I have serious doubts about the design, implementation, and proper balancing of such a system from both a PvP and PvE perspective. I think one of the few possible systems that could work would be the ability to transform the elemental damage type of the current spells within the classes; but even then, that seems like too much work for too little reward.

    I'd like to see a channeled frost fire and shock skill like in Skyrim. It lasts as long as you hold the key down, and drains Magicka as it hits.

    This could be used as a filler between dots.

    I dont think so, at all.

    Then there are only two options: a new class again or new weapons.

    Spellcrafting has been a thing since 2015 (or even 2014?) and I am pretty sure they already put hundreds of work hours into it. It would be easier to bring Spellcrafting to life than to create a completely new class (remember Warden has been there since Alpha/Beta) or give us new weapons.

    They had a very well thought design for Spellcrafting as it was explained some years ago. It sounded amazing. The only problem will be balancing, nothing else.

    Something to buff allies including pets would be nice. I would like some will things like control a guard or raise npc from dead for 5 mins. Wait... maybe I just want necromancers. .hmm

    well if spell crafting is introduced for magic users only sure balance will be an issue

    which is why what they are working on is bringing a system that benefit all play styles

    personally i could give a *** if they introduce the system or not, the only reason people want it in ESO is because they had it in oblivion, and i never played oblivion cause the graphics were so bad they gave me nightmares. so everyone telling me 'not to hold my breath' and not to get my hopes up - LOL your mind numbingly predictive replies are targeted at the wrong person!

    I'd want some non combat spells like telekinesis to move objects around. This would open up a lot of new puzzles as well. There should also be stamina "spells" available to make the system useful for both play styles.

    The "Spell Crafting" System will be having to find "Tablets", either broken or whole, which you trace and collect.
    When you have a "Whole" tablet on you can then turn it into a usable spell similar to constructing glyphs.
    The spell will based on the TES School of Magic...i.e. Alteration, Conjuring, etc.
    Completed spells can be sold or traded.
    I have been excited about this ever since I saw the game videos of it in 2014.
    Glad it is still on the table!
