While sitting in front of the IC portals waiting for respawn, a bunch of us were whipping out our instruments and had a little chaotic jam sesh. It gave me an idea - how awesome would it be if there were actual bard songs that players could play together! It might work like this:
The first person to pull out an instrument starts playing a looping track from a random bard song. There could be a little visual attached to the player to indicate to other players they've "started" a song, such as a little glow at their feet with music notes over their head.
Subsequent players who pull out an instrument within X meters of the first start playing a track in the same song but joining in the song wherever the first player current is in the sequence.
Multiple players using the same instrument simply cause their specific "track" to become slightly louder with each addition (i.e. two drummers is louder than one).
ZOS could add a /sing emote to allow player(s) to sing the tunes. Many of the necessary vocal tracks are already in the game, new ones could be added easily.
Would anyone else like this feature? I don't think this would require a very large resource investment from ZOS since most of the components already exist, but I'm
sure it would add a ton of immersive value and depth to the game. I'm not even a roleplayer and I know I would love it.
What do you guys think?
@ZOS_GinaBruno any chance you could mention this?
