Imperial Physique set during anniversary - worth it?

So I've been rolling through IC fairly frequently during this anniversary, and seeing more people rocking this set. With the increased tel var gain (making it much easier to get to 4x bonus) it seems like 6k extra mag/hp/stam is an insane bonus.

Granted, you can always get zerged and subsequently lose that bonus with one death, but presumptively during this event you're rolling through IC with a group.
Not sure a secondary set to rock with it; was thinking:

*Magicka - Julianos or IA
*Stam - VO or Twice fang (possibly hundings if you CP your pen right).

What do you all think? Is this viable during this event?

(Note: so many great sets in IC that don't get used nearly enough. Powerful assault/Shield Breaker to name a few)

Imperial Physique Set

LEVEL 50 CHAMPION 160

(2 items) Adds 129 Stamina Recovery

(3 items) Adds 129 Magicka Recovery

(4 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage

(4 items) Adds 129 Spell Damage

(5 items) While you are in Imperial City, you tap into the power of the Tel Var Stones you are carrying, increasing your Health, Magicka, and Stamina by 1032. While you have a 4x Tel Var Stone multiplier this effect is increased by 600%.

DO. NOT. WIPE. (in game OR out!)

It's a good set to use if you're already effective, but it's not going to carry anyone who isn't. The benefits are somewhat offset by the target on your back and possibly by the worry of losing a lot of stones/getting posterized if that kind of thing weighs on you.

How you build with it depends on your group composition and playstyle.

It's a quite powerful set tbh, however I wouldn't dare to wear this when solo.
The only application I really performed was when I got carried by a 4 men group (2 more magDKs and 1 stamplar). I achieved 52.1k magicka 28.5 health and 23.5k stamina after i swapped shacklebreaker 5 pcs from current build.

    Yea, that amount of tri-stat.

Quite interesting fact is, people rarely target me first under squad v squad skirmish so i have time to pile up damage and cause havoc. (basically dk with sword and board = tank with 0 damage stereotype)

    EDIT: misspells.

It's only worth running during the event if you are in a group of 4 or more and consider yourself an above average player. Otherwise you'll lose more stones then you gain. Been running groups of 4-6 with everyone running imperial physique. I have died a lot and lost a lot of stones but I don't even care tbh, I have plenty and it's part of the fun.

On my mageblade I'm rocking 5 Physique 5 Surge 1 Domi with masters resto for the event.

I forget my CP stats off hand but NO-CP I'm at 40k magika 27k HP 15k stam 2100 spell damage plus surge proc.

Surge breaks cloak so it's absolute murder on gankers. If you proc it they can't hope to escape and will die.

Wow, those kinds of resources on a mag nightblade are insane. Considering you can essentially keep yourself healed too and dish out damage simultaneously, seems practically unkillable (in a group of course).

Or you have literally millions of telvar and don´t give a flying snip about loosing the eventual 10 to 20k because the bonus outweights that loss over time by quite a bit.

does this set create a blue pillar of light over you when you have 10k stones or is that just a default fx when you have 10k stones?

Yes it's the set that creates the pllar of blue light on your enemies, but you will see a blue aura around you/your allies not a pillar of light.

nice, then yeah i'd say quite a few people are using this set. very popular. Makes you a big target too. Last night, there was a 23 man EP group in Shor IC and two of them had the blue light on them and man they waited a long time before coming off of their spawn. we stayed stealthed and nuked one of them, it was glorious. so safe in their zerg. Great set on any build if you're willing to risk tel var stones. I had tons of fun running this set solo last IC event and made 1.2M farming bosses and zergs alike with it.

If you build intelligently, you don't have to worry about death unless focused by a small group of highly skilled players (rare) or an excessively large zerg chasing you.

So much this, run it with a defensive set or two, make sure you won't have sustain issues and you become "impossible" to kill 1v1 since you pack so much damage on what is otherwise a tanky spec. I haven't died once in the whole even wearing Physique and I've found myself in quite a few sticky situations.

Honestly, during the event, 10k stones takes no time to replace if you lose them anyway so you may as well run physique.

So what weight/trait do you recommend for non-pet mag sorc in CP campaign? Should I go for heavy infused on the chest and other pieces light? All heavy impen? All light divines? What do you guys run on mag sorc?

Any tips would be helpful and thank you.

I wouldn't run this set unless you already have a PVP build you're confident with. Start with that build, and swap one of the sets with Imperial Physique.

That's good advice, I'd also recommend that you drop your damage set for Physique since it adds tons of damage already.
