When I'm in the middle of fighting how do I switch bars quickly? I just don't remember. I am a senior citizen after all. Thanks!

Thanks. I am at level 20 now and I am just starting to use a bow. Perhaps that was a bad choice to make considering I am trying to become a Breton Magicka Sorceress. My first bar is setup the way that a lot of you have suggested. I just finished the main quest in Vvardenfell, but there are still minor quest to do and dungeons to delve for shards. Then I intend to move on. Thanks again.

Np. The classes in this game are designed so that they can work with both magicka and stamina. It only depends on what you choose to spend your attribute points on. You can turn some magicka skills into stamina skill on morphing and vica versa. Bow sorcs are great, you just need to do your research on what gear and skills to use.

Grab yourself a Logitech g600 ($80) or utechsmart venus ($34, and what I currently use). Awesome mice for this game. Assign your weapon swap to one of the 12 buttons on the side. Don't get a naga though. I and many others have gone through several. They die quickly and are a waste of money.

I have a 5 button mouse. I bound the weapon swap to one of the side buttons. For some reason my , key stopped working for weapon swap a few patches ago. I set it to swap with numpad 5 and then set one of the side buttons on my mouse to correspond to numpad 5.

People have also suggested binding weapon swap or ultimate to the scrolling button on a mouse.

You can change which key does the weapon swap under Settings> Controls. To set which mouse button corresponds to the key, your mouse needs to have come with its own software program.

Specing for Magicka, you should be running either destro/destro or destro/resto. My recommendation would be two lightning destro staves. As a Sorcerer, you will unlock a passive that will increase your lightning damage, and all lightning damage has a chance to proc Minor Vulnerability (8% more damage done to target). Also the lightning heavy attack is great for attacking multiple targets, as one of the destro passives will make your lightning heavy attacks do aoe damage.
