Why no portraits?

I was wondering if there is a reason why there are no portrait paintings. We have some paintings with people in them, but no true portraits.
Is there a particular reason why this is?

✭✭✭There are only so many painting objects, and many people don't want to look at faces (me included).
Also, who would you pick? 5 companions? Molag Bal? Darien (ok, I'd look at Darien).6 -

✭✭✭✭✭Well having a portrait of the rulers of each faction could be a start. It could be on an achievement vendor for completing the starter zones of that faction. Or maybe a portrait of Vivec, or the Orc High King.
And after that just basic generic portraits. They could follow the same subject template they did on the wanted posters.

Or Lamae Bal (for us vampire folk) or any of the loading screen art for that matter instead of just specific images.
Or heck, even better (though this would require a bit more coding), allow us to create portraits of ourselves via in-game perspective capture, then have a filter stylize it into a "painting".
But perhaps we expect far too much from a company with far too little.

^This. And maybe some ex-leaders; I could see ex-Emperor Leovic having a portrait. Vanus Galerion can have some floating around too. Any of the Tharns, but especially Clivia. Ex-Emperor Varen. Historical figures like any of the Reman Dynasty (probably replicas or very very rare) and maybe the Potentates.
