Been that way on XBox since HotR dropped. Pretty sure nobody has cleared vHoF on the NA server since then due to the abhorrent frame rate.

the drop in fps seems not to affect dungeons but pretty much all open areas especially cities - before i was getting 70-85 now im at 50-65

PC NA can confirm. Hopefully that Clockwork City performance enchancing stuff they talked about will actually work because with each patch my game performs a little worse and with my frankly potato computer I can't have this happen too many more times before the game is utterly unplayable

They're probably deliberately wrecking fps each patch so that by time the "performance patch" goes online it'll basically take us back to almost as good as it used to be like three patches ago  and call it a win.

Maw and HRC have both become really bad for me on PC/NA in particular. HOF was always pretty bad, so I chalked that up to just particle barf, but it hasn't really gotten better since the update to ally effects. I'm worried they're being rendered and then removed instead of just not being rendered to begin with. ):

But since this patch I've had my CPU hitting 100% more often than ever, NPCs and mobs taking several seconds to load in (which is an annoyance when it's a guild trader, and run-ending when it's a Dro-m'Athra Assassin -.-) and things my computer handled okay before now struggling. My CPU and mobo are both about five years old, so I know I'm due for an upgrade, but... I feel like older content shouldn't have changed significantly enough to affect my performance in that way. The CPU usage might be tied to an addon, but I don't see how things just taking their sweet time to spawn would be.

Created 3 characters before the update, all AD, I always start in Khenarthis because the exp is great there to get to lvl 10 and go straight to pvp. It was fine with my magplar and warden tank, but i started my magdk today and the framerate was just awful. I repaired the game, gonna see if anything changed now.

You were at Khenarthi's like a day or two before today's patch and didn't notice the fps issue right in the middle of that town?

It's been shite for a while there.

The new areas function better for me than the starting areas  And I have an gtx 1050ti and an i7 3820 4,2 ghz. Cpu is a good 5 years old now and the gpu is not super fantastic, so it makes no sense that these drops are happening in older areas :|

I would be thrilled if my CPU hit 100%. Most of the time my CPU and GPU are no higher than 50%, even though my framerate is well below my cap of 60 FPS.

Example, right now in Grahtwood, my CPU is at 50% (all cores are around the same), GPU at 43%, yet I am at 38 FPS.

How are you getting this game to use all the cores equally? You got a screenshot of that (use Resource Monitor or Process Explorer to show all cores while game is running). I need to see this.

Yesterday my Ping, FPS, and latency was fine in the game. Today, I have no choice but to download this patch. So I login in Auridon, and the place is a freaking slideshow. WTH is going on?

its also interesting that on one evening im crashing every 15 minutes and then im not crashing any time for days - its either every 15 mins on one evening or never - this all brings me to one conclusion - the engine is probably pretty much f*ed by the amount of people or content or whatever and barely holding together...they are probably trying to plug leads while the ship is sinking so to say...thats also why we have so many very long maintenances...at least thats my impression

It's a 4 core processor? As you can see from the image, all 4 cores are used equally. I am using the numjobthreads/worker requested threads=4 tweak, although that has caused crashing in the past.

Guess I meant processors then...on my Resource Monitor it shows 8 of those CPU graphs for an i7.

Might try that crashy tweak you mentioned, see if I can get all my CPU graphs to actually work for this game. In my game the total CPU sits around 18% with one of those eight processors (using right term now) jammed up at 100% and the rest faffing round at 1-15% or something. And my GPU sits around doing basically sweet FA.

No change for me in overland content including cities on the PC EU direct through the ESO launcher, based in the UK and connected through Virgin Media. I think those with problems need to give a lot more information including where they're playing from and through which ISP, as well as whether they're using Steam. Have they updated all addons since the last update and subsequent patches?

Update: My Latency/Ping is absolutely AWFUL (393-800) while wearing the mind shriven skin and the shriven horse. As soon as I take both off, my Latency and ping go back to normal values. That shriven package is causing major issues with game and framerate, latency and ping. Can someone on the PC/NA server test this if you have the shriven horse and the skin?

ISP shouldn't be affecting frames and graphical performance issues, but nonetheless my ping has been perfectly stable with Xfinity, and I've always used the Zenimax client and not the Steam wrapper.

I've assumed that the performance drops I experience in Vivec et al. were because of the additional players there (which would also affect areas such as Khenarthi's Roost, not that I hang out there, so I can't say for certain), but Maw and Hel Ra suffering when nothing in them should have changed makes no sense to me.

I haven't noticed my CPU capping out as much since I disabled MM, but I'm also not sure if MM was the straw that broke the camel's back, or the cause itself.
