Several of my trading and social guilds are saying clockwork city is upping the gold tempers drop rates? Sounds a bit farfetched simce zos seems to be nerfing them every dlc. Is there any truth to this? If not put it to rest.

I haven't heard anything along those lines, are you sure this info is coming from the guild itself, and not just unscrupulous members trying to get you to drop your prices?

Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.

    1. They have never nerfed gold temper drop rates (they were always 5%)
    2. Upping the drop rate would crash their prices even further (they're already cheap)

I haven't heard anything along those lines, and furthermore, what would be the motivation to do so? There has been no announcement about gear levels increasing that would prompt a demand for new gear, so I just don't see it.

Gear level has never been confirmed nor denied, it would be a welcome change for me, it's been a long time since we have been rocking cp160 gear. As a 9 trait crafter it would open up the market for me.

For me the gold tempers are super expensve. Everything depends on wich side of the wall you are.

Based on a lot of data, and I mean millions of each mat from several players, the drop rates are almost certainly not a flat 5% across all 4. Although if you have a reliable ZoS source for the 5% we'd be interested so we can stop collating data!

But based on what we have the rates are certainly between 4% and 6% across the 4 mats and appear to have remained pretty stable over the years.

5% is the average of 4-6%...

The odds roughly equate to 1 temper per stack (aka, 5%... or 4-6% if you prefer, it doesn't make a difference)

Lol, yeah I know the average of the 2 is that. I meant more, that for example, leather tends more towards the 4%, cloth and wood more towards 5% and metal a little higher at 5.5%. So yes 1 gold per stack is a decent rule of thumb.

I was just wondering if they'd ever come out and given an official number.

I mean if you call 9k per "cheap". They're only cheap if you're one of those who have millions rotting away in their Bank. To the average middle and lower class player, buying just a few if not a full 8 is costly.

I'd prefer they reduce the ammount of gold tempers required to 6, rather than up the drop chance.

Im in this group been trying to become the rich group but that aside no one was discussing prices but 5 guilds and this topic has been going around all over the place id be ok with tempering alloys getting a drop buff since they needed for almost every weapon and heavy armor and we got one source ore while leather amd silk give us double chances via kills and harvesting. Rosin seems low drop given the 12k wood stacks i have

Interesting as prices on pc in 1000 gold equals the drop chances well.

My guess is that temper prices will rise as more players get bis gear and gold it. First you will have weapons, many run with out of set weapons.

Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

If on ps4 NA hit me up, I will show you how to make some gold. 9k is small change when you're making 100k+ a day...

Rumors are just trash talk. Some people are just trolls and start such talk others believe it and perpetuate it. Unless Zos states it or it is in patch notes which have not been released it is worthless banter. Obviously we cannot test it since PTS is not even updated with it.

@MLGProPlayer, I want to say they actually increased the gold temper drop rates back with 1.5 or 1.6. It went from, I think 2.5% to 5%.

Same here with MW's as well my main craft has every single in game motif, all 9 traits, and still barely gets MW's at all and when she does its only 6-10 vouchers every single time.

Also yes I did notice a significant drop in daily writ legendaries as well I've gotten so many more before Morrowind came out doing writs I guess Morrowind did truely nerf them

As someone who is a 9 trait crafter and someone who PVPs and PVEs, I could live without another Max Level increase ever again. You could already sink hours of your life into this game on a daily basis and still not have best in slot gear (thanks to the RNG Slot Machine approach to game design -and I don't just mean traits). There are dozens of sets, most of which are not crafted - resetting everyone's gear with a level increase would only force yet another gear grind on everyone and it would likely shrink the player base (again) which wouldn't be a good thing for ESO.

not even a long time player but I agree with this line of the thread. I think people that have this problem just haven't figured out how to eso finance themselves.
