There is lack of logic here. If developers allowed it then it cannot be considered cheating because it's developer who decides what is cheating and what isnt.
Also if we talk about functionality. Miat add-on gives You graphic information that some negative thing will hit You so at the end You dont have to look around so much to see it. Isnt that almost the same as buff tracker which graphicly informs You that some negative effects was applied on You or that you applied that on enemie (also with timer and debuffs name) , so You dont have to look around that much to see buffs/debuffs animation on You on Your enemies ?
If Miat is considered cheating then buff tracking is considered cheating also despite the fact developers allowing it.
I don't like or use Buff Tracking either. I only use Kill Counter to see my KDR and FTC to redo my health, mag, and stam bars so I can see percentages and to see my DPS/HPS in a small little box in the top left corner.
Oh god that's cheating. Normally You would have to note all that informations on paper and watch resource bars normally
Or just use basic logic and reasoning in yourhead? No? asking too much? xD

I strongly reccomend You to open dictionary and look for word "sarcasm" . No ? Asking too much ?
Miat's addon is a cancer. It is the definition of cheating or a cheat: act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination.
This add-on should not be allowed. Every day I see people, or pre-cogs as I call them, blocking, dodge rolling and any other things heavy attacks, lethal arrows, etc. I even block cancel these attacks and can see them dodging or blocking with ample time before the cast would have concluded.
ZoS needs to remove this add-on and any add-on that gives like abilities asap. The fact they haven't speaks volumes that they don't care one iota about the rampant cheating going on in this game and somehow this add-on passes muster and is approved.
I'd love to use harsher language, but I'm sure I'd get banned.
Bottom line, I'm sick of this crap. I've enjoyed this game from day one but this sanctioned or tacit consent of cheating is beyond the pale.
Honestly pvp will die very quickly if this stuff is left unchecked. I play an archer main and i can tell you my pvp experience has become annoying AF because everyone is dodging before i even launch my attack
CreamedPieYum wrote: »No, and to all the idiots who say "It's not for you to judge how someone plays"..WRONG. That add on is cheating, no need to sugarcoat it with fancy terms in order to minimize it.
The app outright destroys the whole purpose of Nightblade. Magelight or pots is one thing, but that add gives a stam character with huge stam pool the ability to dodge every single incoming attack. It's cheating. The fact that it TELLS you is cheating, perception on the player's part is not.
The addon is against the TOS, It's just that ZOS thought it was harmless and did not realize the potential it has on combat. I guarantee it will be revoked, once it's brought to the admin of the game for review.
Edit - They've already looked at this and still allowed it? Maybe that whole "everybody uses it so it's all even anyways" is the reason.

I too play an archer and the amount of people just holding block or dodge rolling before an attack is resolves or is cancelled is beyond ridiculous.
Stealth attacks have a counter: detect pots, radiant/mage light, the fighter's guild equivalent, set pieces, etc. Plus everyone can hide and do a stealth attack.
You cannot counter someone who knows the attack is coming before it is even finished being made. That is the definition of bloody cheating: an unfair advantage.
It's asinine and ZoS needs to ban the add-on and functionality.

With that said it's getting to the point where the vitriol towards this add-on is starting to become overwhelming for a player health perspective. ZOS needs to be blatantly clear on the position of Miat's and deal with whatever player backlash reprocussions appropriately.
You dont need this addon to dodge crystal frags and snipes. Christ, talk about making a mountain out of a molehill.

Here is the proper link of the add on.
Enjoy the features it gives.
If someone tries to stealth snipe you you can usually hear a distinct sound play. Again, you dont need the addon for it.
Not sure but it's probably the same for crystal frag (why would a sorc even try to frag you from stealth...?)
Unless of course the sound bugs out and doesnt play. Then this addon does help, but is the addon the problem here then?
