Botters... It's hard to report them

Could you make it easier for me to report botters. I'd like too but it's annoying. Or just make grinding not as terrible and then the botters might ease up

Problem is that most of the bots is created for farming not leveling. They're running on spots where they can farm materials , gold etc.

I'd like to think reporting just one or a select few in a group would help ZOS identify the similar IP address, and they'll all be Banned that way, instead of on a character or account basis.

I screenshot bots to get all the account names and include it all in one report. Saves the effort of reporting each one individually.

They seriously need to flush out the bots in Shadowfen! Seems like everywhere you go they are running around. I have reported them a few times now and I am sure other people have.

The bots have set up in all zones on all platforms. Tamriel has fallen, if you can read this, you are the resistance.

People always think one zone or another is super bad I have noticed bots in all zones. Especially, where quest phasing is involved.

I use shadowplay on a rolling 5min timer. If I see any suspicious "bot" activity, I follow them around for a bit making sure I capture their @names. Then I just save the last 5 mins and open a ticket in game. When I'm done playing, I'll go to the ESO support website and attach the video to the ticket. Not sure if the GM's are doing their part, but I make sure I am.

Agree, i have so many screen shots with names of them but reporting is a real pain.

You know what's weird - there was a "report for botting" option not all that long ago. When you selected the person you wanted to report, you didn't have to go through all the drop down boxes, you just selected "report for botting" and it sent the report. I was able to do this until recently. Not sure why they got rid of it. My guess is they were getting too many bot reports and got tired of dealing with it, so they made it harder to report.

The system to report bots is clunky. However you only need to grab one or two of them. Then state in the report how many are in the train and where they roughly are. The GM will come investigate and see the others. Some thing tells me they have an easier way to deal with this.

But I do agree it could be easier to report a bot.

I just watch them for a bit, figure out their "route" then I go the same route, sometimes a bit ahead of them sometimes in opposite direction. Leave them nothing to harvest. They get bored and leave.

I hope the GMs know the common areas for bots to run around. There's the spine dolmen route in Shadowfen, for instance. Don't know why there in particular, but every time I have a material survey point in that direction I find a new train of boot-boots.

I'm confused...How would a bot get "bored" if there's no human controlling them? That's why they're called 'bots'

There seem to be some sophisticated operations out there, so bored is maybe not the right word.
Unprofitable might be closer to the mark.

Seriously, I'm seeing bots farming the bears in Stormhaven that all have the same prefix in their psn name followed by incrementing integers. It's a business key to gold selling I believe.
