Are ESO developers the more connected devs with their community?

I'm asking this to people who have been playing other MMO's, how are ZOS ESO developers compared to other game's ones?

Developers are like the Loch Ness monster or Bigfoot. They may exist but odds are you will never see one personally.

They look connected as in online, but they dont look good at communication ( ZOS as a company). Our CM are doing their best with what they can.

The forum community sure does not help though but it is maybe a bad circle.

Would have to agree with you, id played. Gw2 and the dev responsiveness were amazing (had a in game issue and submitted a ticket, was less than 15 minutes i had a response and 1 hour it was solved and this was at 9pm Australian eastern standard time)
We all know what happens 90% of the time when you submit a ticket here
Lucky eso is on consoles and dont really have competition on those

Interesting answers. ESO Is my first MMO and I always find that devs, CM and... are very close with the community. They listen and try to develop most of popular ideas, do lives, contests etc...

if getting on the forums and replying to a couple of comments a day means connected lol you can literally look at the dev tracker and see they are not that connected with there players major issues normally get ignored until something new is getting ready to drop then they start to reply to stuff or if it has something to do with selling the players something you better believe they are all over that lol its especially worse for console players

Seeing a gamemaster in-game usually gets someone to make a very freaking out forum post. It's that rare.

Honestly it's irrelevant in my opinion. A good development team will know what's important to do, to fix and to work on next.

Listening too much to the community is a bad idea, they often say that they want something and then hate it when they get it.

That is Customer Service, not the Developers.

It depends if you are talking about something they like to hear . If you spot a Easter egg in the game or find a pleasing topic they will jump out of some bush and make a comment . If you are being critical they are as elusive as a pack of BigFoots .

Seems like Gina and Jessica try but it also seems like Wrobel and Lambert are more interested in their internal metrics than anything the ladies tell them.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

My experience with tickets was very good and ZoS seem to respond nicely to the critics with game changes (Tamriel one, retrait, etc). If you think they are not connected, try playing SWTOR, its devs live beyond Jupiter. :p

    God you're the lucky one

CM are doing their best in my opinion but Ticket system replies are the worst ever.

I´ve only ever seen a screenshot of one event where a GM showed up.
