Mind-Shriven Skin not working properly with vampirism...?

So, if you're a vampire and you preview this skin in Crown Store, it's not showing up properly:
But when you equip some other skin that you already have (let's say vMoL one) and you'll preview this skin in Crown Store again, it looks like it should:
Works as intended...?

I'm curious as well, the impression I got from Dev responses was that it was a preview bug and that the skins themselves were ok. But, iirc, the issue has not yet been resolved.Eddyb1e - Xbox One - NA

I've been trying to get answers to the item I purchased. First the mind shriven skin from years ago and the ebony skin. Both looked great on my vampire so I bought them. Then some time ago I think theives guild this change happened with skins. It used to look like it does it the preview( amazing) now it doesn't. Maybe this time you'll answer me.0 -

It's hard to say a bug when it used to actually be like that on every vampire. They changed it without notice or patch note. Same thing happened with ebony.

Your saying preview bug but that's actually how it used to be. They changed it in theives guild. No notice. No notes. And I couldn't even get a response from them.0 -

Yes we all know that but, the op is not concerned with that. If they reverted the fix in thieves guild in regards to the skin I would be disappointed. I expect it to display properly when I use it regardless of vamp or not.Xbox One Na1 -

If it mixed both on the skin when it came out for months wouldn't that be the actual product. Especially when it shows in the preview. I was highly disappointed when they changed it originally. It is a difference in opinion and you should get a refund bc of that. Samething with people who purchased mundus stones and they altered them after which is why they should have been sold for gold not crowns.Xbox One Na0 -

Just to make sure I understand, you're saying at the time of release when in game (not just the preview) the skin showed similar to the top photo, basically the collectible skin was under or mixed with the vampire skin creating a lightened collectible skin appearance. BUT, on a non vampire, it displayed as the bottom picture? And that you're preference is the lightened collectible skin appearance, which is why you purchased it. Then, at Thieves Guild update, they flipped it and since then, the collectible skin has been ON TOP of the vamp skin thus you no longer get that appearance you prefer. Now, with the release of the ebony skin the same issue is occurring but in the preview window only (on vampires only), again a purchase made, but in game it does not display that way.
If that's accurate I can definitely understand your position, you originally purchased something that displayed a certain way and it was changed, then after so long another skin displayed the same way as the beloved first skin and you made this second purchase, only to now feel that you were tricked because again it does not display the way you wanted it to. This is quite unfortunate. I wish they did offer you compensation or at least a response to the issue.
Yet, I have to agree with @Malacthulhu, for myself, I looked at the preview of the skin on a non vamp and purchased both the skins based on that, for the use of covering my gorgeous vampire looks (I do actually like the vamp look on a couple of my characters). If there were disclaimers though of a possible incompatibility when previewing on a vampire it would be nice.
Seems to be a tough spot for all parties, especially without good communication.

Eddyble✭✭✭✭This reminds me of a comment I made on another thread, back when the made unannounced changed to the pricey cavern home and placed a wall where there didn't used to be one. I said back then, if they can make changes whenever they want then what are we really purchasing and where will it stop? Its almost as if saying, you can buy this, it'll PROBABLY look like this, but we can change it whenever we want and then you might not like it anymore. Now, that housing issue was resolved I believe but the principal applies. If we are to buy something, the seller should ensure it displays correctly at time of purchase, AND stays that way. I know the counter argument that they are within their rights to do whatever but then the counter counter is that we will never buy anything because we don't know what we'll get. It's all a bunch of nonsense that leaves us at a strange spot. Very much, ok, I like this, i'll buy it and I can only HOPE that it looks like that after purchase and stays that way for a while, and in most cases powerless if something does change.
