Is the WW stam passive still viable?

I read that you habe huge stam gains from WW. Is this still true or is the gains only from being in WW form? Ive read a lot of mixed answers on the subject.

    You get 15 % more stam reg if the ultimate is slotted. So, no more benefits for just having longer toe- or fingernails, you must invest an ability slot. But, if you do so, you don't have to actually be in ww form for the bonus on stam reg.

    Some people like it but most aren't interested in slotting the ult just to have the passive. The only time I slot the were ultimate is if I want to rampage for fun.

    Slotting the ultimate is like giving up a nice chunk of DPS. Weigh the benefits of 100-150 stamina regen vs. 8% more passive weapon damage from flawless dawnbreaker or the bow or DW ultimate.
