Which is your most favorite of the original five companions ?

Rainraven✭✭✭✭✭Abner TharnSai and Lyris both came across as inept. I imagine they all have to be weak so we can be heroes, but I'm not a fan of that at all. Abnur was competent, helpful, and amusing, if not necessarily trustworthy. Easily my favorite.
The prophet is just tragic. I choose him for the thing to power the thing at the end because it's the most merciful choice.1 -

I can only speak for myself on this; I don't like him because of the way he addresses my character as if he's owed some kind of assistance.1. He did not present the whole truth straight away. I like honest, or at least direct, characters to interact with. No one likes being told half-truths.
2. After the first few quests he has a hulking Nord to do his bidding (which I rescued at great peril, but at least she had given me a hand in the Wailing Prison other than just waving the staff in the air after the danger had passed). Still, he interrupts my character when she steps into a town with his urgent business - when he could well send his new lackey to run his errands.
3. My characters all have names, thank you very much. None is called Vestige, and all find being called that a bit demeaning.

✭✭Abner TharnI had to choose between Varen and Tharn . Varen is our mentor , you like it or not . Vestige couldn't be anything without his directions . Abner on the other hand is not stupidly heroic like others . He is straight to the point , does what is necessary without blinking . For me , Abner is more heroic than others . Others are just stupid , not heroic .0 -
