Can't reply to customer support emails

I need to reply to a ticket from CS but somehow the mail isn't going through. First I get a "Delivery Status Notification (Delay)" and a few days later "Delivery Status Notification (Failed)", both from Mail Delivery System [MAILER-DAEMON@mx01.zenimaxonline.com]

The message in the first is:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

<eso_help@helpmail.elderscrollsonline.com>

The reason for the problem:
4.4.2 - Bad connection 'timeout'


Second one gives as reason " 5.4.7 - Delivery expired (message too old) 'timeout' "

I've searched the forum but only came across issues from 2014 concerning blacklists. Can anyone give some insight?
