So with this new stam meta, do you guys consider magdk, or mag melee dps in general, obsolete? No one runs wall of inferno and stam dks can slot chains if needed. I can see magdks going extinct in trials

agingerinohio✭✭✭I've been leveling one wearing Julianos and seducer (level 35 with cp335) and have noticed my dps is decreasing for sure. At this point I wouldn't even consider taking her into normal dungeons for the random xp buff. I've tried out different mundus stones, Apprentice, Lover, Thief and even Atronach. I'm hoping once I get her leveled to CP so she can wear silks of the sun and burning spellweave, it will improve things. Not sure. :-/ I've had a fully leveled mag dk on the EU server around 4 months ago and I can certainly tell that mag dk was much stronger back then...0

✭✭✭I hear ppl are getting good dps from mdk I tried 3 of the most popular builds for pve and I can't get pass 28k I'm having huge sustain issues and having to heavy attack to get magic back hurts rotation a lot.
People from different guilds are telling me they are getting 35k easily though I have not seen ss or any proof. I no I'm not the best but I used to be able to get 31k no issue before housing update.
This is all self buff no healer or tank helping out.1 -
Trashkan✭✭✭I can get only 28k as well I have tried a lot of sets. Last night I was able to pull 35k on the mage in a.a but with group buffs and mini mage ads. So I am leveling a stam dk now just so I am prepared for each update.Edited by Trashkan on September 5, 2017 4:22PM0

✭✭✭✭At least look at the bright side: you can get a free gold Maelstrom weapon and armor set piece if you manage to finish it in one sitting Tuesday to Sunday. Same goes for Templar and Warden

theamazingx✭✭✭✭Gets beaten by stam, for sure, but not unplayable. 38k on a dummy, up to 41 if i use a shock enchant and lightning wall, and sitting around 45 up to 52 when I leave to run on p5 in Rakkhat hm. Handily loses their melee spot to stam in a good group, but I get the feeling that most of the people complaining aren't at the point where they'd see the significant difference.0
