When is one ready for veteran dungeons?

Hi all,

I have done a lot of normal dungeons lately with my warden healer. This means that I have access to important skills like horn and orbs. Friday night I even got myself a 5th piece of the Worm's set. Jewelry is Arcane, and hat, shoulders and weapon are 3pc magnus. I have about 20k health and 33k magicka. Furthermore I have about 330 CP's.

When I run a normal dungeon with other lvl 50 players, it even seems a bit too easy.

Woud this be a good time to try Vet dungeons?

I'd really love to, but I'm just a bit afraid to fail bigtime!

A while back I accidently queued for a Vet dungeon, (do not recall which one) and boy, I failed, there were no enemies and I died every 5 seconds. So after 20 seconds I was allready kicked from the group. Rightfully so, but I really had no clue what was happening.

With which veteran dungeon should I start?

Do you have any good advice to share?
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.

Yes your fine to do best dungeons providing your know your rotations and mechanics. Most vet dungeons don't even require much mechanical knowledge. You're plenty high cp level. If you're dying so often then you need to learn why. Easier vet dungeons include fungal grotto 1 and direfrost imo.

Man you sound awesome! Most pug healers(and I do mean in vet dungeons, unfortunately) barely even know what Springs is, let alone orbs :D

You should be more than fine. A few tips(that you may well be aware of by now but just in case) - don't forget to use Elemental Drain, your magicka dps will love you; slot Annulment on your bar(I prefer Harness Magicka morph, makes it pretty much free to spam since there's always so much magic damage going on) and don't be afraid of using it - you absolutely don't need 100% uptime on most fights but there're certain things that hit hard(even when taunted) and it can be extremely helpful then. And that's...all I can think about except generic "don't stand in red" I guess :D

Vet dungeons' difficulty goes in basically same order as normal ones, except the difference between say vet EH I and vet ROM is a LOT more than that between normal EH I and normal ROM. Dungeons I are the easiest(be aware though, to make sure people don't mistake them for normal dungeons ZOS added some op unatuntable one-shots to a lot of dungeons I last bosses. You can technically dodge/block them if you see the cue in time but just don't be surprised if you suddenly get hit for 25k on Spindle I last boss or something, that's pretty normal), non dlc dungeons with no number are also fairly easy(VoM for example is a really cool dungeon to start with, it's still easy on vet but not without some mechanics and it looks absolutely stunning), dungeons II tend to have some mechanics you cannot ignore, dlc dungeons are definitely something you may want to leave til last(out of those, IC dungeons are definitely the easiest by far as they'd been nerfed literally about a dozen times by now).

It might be a good idea to mention it's your first time in vet version and you may need some mechanics' tips at the start of the run, especially if you do one of the dungeons II or dlc ones.

If you play on PC, I'd gladly run along with you on your first runs to help you get comfortable with it :)
