Ohh wow, my first poll ever! Gotta make this one good .. Also sry if there are spelling and other Problems with my text .. Not my native language

You remember The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion? Than you'll probably remember the awesome arena in the Imperial City!
Most people (I think) just loved the arena and their legendary 1v1 fights against NPCs.
Well we can have 1v1s in ESO, too and even against real people, but it's sometimes just annoying how people duel in the middle of the city.
It is also annoying to be constantly challengend by some random dudes, but for them it is also annoying to find people to duel with.
And I thought that this system might bring a little more joy to all of us.
As you all probably remember it was possible to gamble in the Arena, by either betting for the yellow or the blue team.
My Idea for an PvP 1v1 Arena starts here.
So there will actually be 2 systems at work here.
1. The Participants
2. The Gambler
1. Some players will enter a que to participate in the 1v1 Arena. (The Arena will ofc. be instanced just like the 4v4v4 Battlegrounds)
The participants only care about killing their rival, for them it's just a 1v1 against a
random person, just like a 1v1 in the overworld.
The Difference here is that they'll play more competitive and for other rewards, just like in the Battlegrounds
2. The Gamblers will have a more interesting thing to do (imo hehe). They'll Gamble (duh). If they do it in a menu or by talking to an NPC isn't of my concern (since I dunno if it would be annoying to talk to an NPC who maybe is only in one position). They'll be able to bet 1k or 10k on one team (just for reference, could ofc. be different numbers if you like ^^). After they selected a Team and the amount of money they wanna place, they'll join a que until there are, let's say up to 10 or so, other gamblers found who betted the same amount of money. They'll then be teleported into the instanced arena (at the same time as the Participants) and are going to enjoy the Fight. The moment a participant won, the Gamblers with the winning team doubled their Money (10k placed = you get 20k as reward (so you win 10k), while the losing gamblers just lost money. That's it pretty much
A problem would be that a duel can take from only some seconds to alot of painful to watch minutes. To prevent too short matches, I think there should be a Time limit for the duels.
Let's say 3 mins. That means the one who killed the enemy the most in 3 mins wins the duel at the end. If there is a match between 2 Tanks that don't die a single time in the time limit, gas will be shot into the arena that'll deal increasingly damage over time and the first to die is the loser (I don't really know how to solve it in another way).
Then it could be frustrating to die like 5 times in just the first min. For that i thought about giving the "loser", if he gets killed, a dmg boost that increases everytime he dies, but decreases the moment he killes the other one. Would this be the perfect sollution? Ofc not! I'm not a dev! I don't know what's best
But now you might think that this could be easily manipulated, but there are always ways to make it right. For example, it shouldn't be possible to que in a group (both ques) and since you'll bet before even joining the arena you don't know who you bet on.
I'd like to know your Opinion about this subject and share YOUR ideas and tweaks if you like it. If you DON'T like it it's ok, but it would make me happy if you'd still take the time to say why ^^.
If you see problems with this system, I welcome you to give your critical feedback and your own Opinions.
