Would you buy it?
A LOT I mean A LOT of MMO's are going to mobile as well. Would you play ESO as a mobile adaptation?

If this would happen, do you think there would be Microtransactions or would you want it to be free and super grindy?

With the new phones coming out on the market, this is very possible...

What do you think?

I think it would be cool to see the current status of the keeps and leader boards of your home campaign in Cyrodiil. I'm sure there are a bunch of good ideas for an app. I think that ZOS should focus on improving the overall health of ESO first, before they expand to mobile apps. It might be cool, but there is no absolute need. I doubt many players will leave ESO because of a lack of an official app anytime soon.

If you're referencing how Runescape is soon becoming completely playable on the app, I do not want to ever play ESO on a screen so small. The UI would be a nightmare.

@EttinTheBreton I was talking about making an ESO game specifically for the mobile market. It would have a mobile interface and like not be AS nice as ESO on PC and console but something cool to play while you are on the go.

With Warframe you can manage your resource extractors and items in your foundry. Something similar would be very handy.

It would be cool to be able to check your research items, Daily undaunted pledges. Do your mount speeds and such. Things like that. Nothing major.

I would like an ESO item manager. Then you could equip items, move items from bank, and manage items on all characters. That would be awesome!

Funny how people keep talking about mobile games... and yet... I don't know of anyone who actually plays any mobile games. It was supposed to be the 'console killer' and the 'pc killer'... and yet from what I have seen, mobile gaming has been all hype, no bite. Reminds me of "Pokemon Go!", it's all you heard about for two months, and then... NOTHING. So companies can make all the mobile games they want, but doesn't mean people will actually play them in a dedicated fashion like they do a console or pc game.

agreed, i remember the huge hype for clash of clans and candy crush, yes, some mobile games are addictive and can be competitive, but they usually die down and it is something to be played on the go rather than something you would play seriously like pc or console

Bethesda tried that once. "Shadowkey", "Dawnstar", and "Stormhold" were all Elder Scrolls Mobil Games that kinda flopped.
As far as ESO, I vote no.It would be a cheapened dumbed down version probably.

Mobile gaming is nothing but full on fluff and cash grabs. No thanks.

A companion app would be amazing though. Manage inventory, broker, purchase eso store items for in game use, text and voice chat with guild.....could work.

But ESO is considered playable on mobile, least to me. Actually let me rephrase, ESO is playable on mobile, but only select few currently; like myself.

2 ways ESO is considered mobile currently

    1. PS4/PS Vita Remote Play

    2. PS4/ Sony Xperia Z4 (I think others Xperia to?) Remote Play

So to me ESO mobile is very possible, given to 2 examples above (I could also say PS4/ PC (laptop) Remote Play)

Imo, they did kill handheld consoles. Handhelds compete for the same slot, so to speak, and smartphones are not only more versatile, but mobile games also have superior business model, since they can draw revenue from P2W and mass surveillance at the same time. There is much less data about users on handhelds to be harvested and monetized, even if users carried handhelds everywhere like smartphones, than on smartphones, which they do carry.
So, players may not play mobiles "games" in dedicated fashion all they like, companies do not give a !@#$^, they are too busy intruding privacy for profit to care.
Pokemon Go is probably the best mass surveillance app thinly veiled as a "game" out there at the moment. It has credible excuse for always running/be brought up by user, calling home, accessing, among other things, positioning data and, unlike Ingress, it leverages Pokemon fame for spreading. And it has some P2W elements on top of it. Very clever, ruthless, if sick design.
