Switching from PS4 EU to PC EU - how is the population?

Hey,

since I cant stand playing pvp and pve with 15-25 fps anymore (PS4 Pro lol) I just built myself a budget pc (400 bucks, selling my ps4 pro for around 260 its even only 140 lol).

Since Ive never played on PC EU before I do have some questions regarding PvE and PvP:

- How is PC EU populated in general, do u feel its "decent" populated or more like "many dead zones"?
- How is the PvP (Cyro) populated? - On PS4 EU we actually have 1 campaign and 1 where u could find some decent fights every few days during prime time
- How are the factions seprated in pvp, 33/33/33? - On PS4 Eu its actually more like 20/35/45 dc/ad/ep.
- Do u have an "raiding/Pve" community on PC EU? - I do plan to do some PvE, because I guess its fun with medium settings and 60 fps compared to low graphics and 15 fps lol

Thanks every1 who is helping me out, since I ll revieve all my pc pieces in 1-2 weeks Im just interested in what it will be, thank you!

Edit: I know that the PC also has problems in Cyro, but its mainly "lag" - we do have that too on PS4 EU, but Lag + 10 fps is really ***.. Lag + 60 fps isnt super cool, but at least it looks good :dizzy:

For those who are interested about the budget pc:
- intel pntium g4560
- rx 460 oc
- 8gb ram

other stuff normal up to date stuff

There always seem to me to be plenty of people around in the open world PvE zones. Beyond that I can't comment as I don't do PvP or group dungeons etc.

Thank you guys so far for ur response!

@SquareSausage I dont build that PC only for ESO, in general console sucks for me (I just realized lol), because I cant play games with 25 fps anymore. E.g. even destiny 2 is locker on 30 fps...

I will also try other games (guild wars 2, Albion online etc), I havent played PC for like 7 years.

Hopefully some1 could answer the other questions :)

In 4-5 weeks I'm at 555 CP from an ancient PC xfer that was 198. It's more than doable. Suggestable, even if you have the budget for a modest PC. The leaps in performance, stability and graphical flourish can't be be stated enough.

Consoles are great, if they're your only option. Otherwise PC is the way to go (if you look at my post history you'll see I still am/ was an advocate of consoles--especially the upgraded Pro, X models).

    - How is PC EU populated in general, do u feel its "decent" populated or more like "many dead zones"?

I would say that random questing areas like Malabar Tol are a bit empty but you will always find people. There are tons of players in main cities and starting areas, you will not be alone.

    - How is the PvP (Cyro) populated? - On PS4 EU we actually have 1 campaign and 1 where u could find some decent fights every few days during prime time

Very populated. In Vivec I always have to queue during peak times. I usually play in Azura (I forgot the new name, but I mean the non cp campaign. Edit: it is called Sotha Sil now.) and there is no queue to enter, but it does not take long to find a fight. I usually go with some friends but there are big pug groups too.

    - How are the factions seprated in pvp, 33/33/33? - On PS4 Eu its actually more like 20/35/45 dc/ad/ep.

This one I cannot answer as I have no idea. To me it feels that it is equal but again no clue.

    - Do u have an "raiding/Pve" community on PC EU? - I do plan to do some PvE, because I guess its fun with medium settings and 60 fps compared to low graphics and 15 fps lol

Yes there is. You can always pug of course but there are nice raiding guilds out there. If you speak Spanish let me know I can invite you to mine, otherwise just type in zone chat and you will get answers for sure.

**That said, think twice about getting to 660cp again  but hey welcome to PC, time to download some add ons!

Having played on both, pc is vastly more populated which leads to a cheaper economy, easier grind as always dolmen groups running no matter the time of day same for pvp doesnt really natter if its 5am or peak time or campaign you will always find a fight. Justbig avoid daggerfall if pc eu they are a disorganised cluster**** of players :)

Dungeons if tank or healer or instapop and even the dps wait isnt that bad, lots of raid guilds out there.

Population is very good, nearly a bit stuffed. Pvp in cyro is pretty zergish, but you still get decent fights on lower populated servers. Battleground matches are always possible, preferably with a group.

PC EU got the best endgame PvE on the planet with guilds like hodor, chimaira, dragons quest, g&g, bi or aquila.

Overall, just do it! It's worth it.

I dont think you can reach 60 fps on medium settings on a butget pc, atleast not in crowded areas, besides that you will have longer loading times when logging in or change zones. Also in trials and pvp your fps will drop to unplayable sometimes.

There are many succesful examples of switching from PS4 EU to PC EU, some are doing very well both in PVE and PVP. I'm considering the switch too, nowadays that's the general trend on the server anyway.

Just check g4560 + RX 460 OC, there are many Benchmarks Videos on YouTube :) but we ll see, im pretty sure medium settings and 60 fps will be achieveable.

The only question remaining is the faction percentages in pvp, but guess ill find out soon ^^

Best guess around 30/35/35 and it really shift with time of day.

Dc tend to dominate overnight uk time at least on no cp. Then the others come back into it and in greater numbers throughout the day. Never is any one faction outnumbered to the point its pointless more so when things go wrong its leadership decisions or players not doing what they are told.
